Our Home Care in Letchworth & Hitchin team are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), meaning that the care you receive is closely monitored for its safety, efficacy and responsiveness. All of our carers have full training when they are recruited and throughout their time with us, meaning you always receive the most up to date support that adheres to industry standards. Whether it's help with the shopping, cooking, getting dressed or keeping your home clean and tidy, our friendly carers will be there to help you do all of those things and so much more. We also have care for specialist needs such as dementia, brain injuries, chronic conditions such as cancer and end of life care.

Communication is about more than just words. For someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, finding the right words can sometimes be difficult. Small changes in how we communicate can make a big difference.
✨ Speak slowly and use short sentences
✨ Give them time to respond
✨ Maintain eye contact and use their name
✨ Stay calm and patient
✨ Avoid correcting or arguing
✨ Use gestures and visual cues when helpful
✨ Focus on feelings, not just facts
Most importantly, every conversation is an opportunity to help someone feel heard, respected and understood. 💜

Good nutrition is so important for maintaining health, strength and overall wellbeing. Our wonderful Yasmin prepared this tasty plate of scrambled eggs, salmon and buttered toast for our lovely lady. It’s full of protein, nourishment and, most importantly, made just the way our Jackie enjoys it! 💜

Supporting someone to eat well isn’t simply about preparing a meal. It’s about respecting their choices, encouraging independence and bringing a little joy to their day. 🥰

Of all the thieves that walk the earth,
Dementia is the quietest one.
It does not arrive with crashing storms,
Or announce itself beneath the sun.
It tiptoes through familiar rooms,
Stealing moments, one by one,
A name once held with certainty,
A story told, a task begun.
It blurs the edges of yesterday,
And softens faces loved for years,
Leaving fragments of a treasured life
Mixed with confusion, loss and tears.
Yet still beneath the fading mist,
Beyond what memory may conceal,
There lives a heart that loves and hopes,
A soul that thinks and deeply feels.
A gentle touch, a kindly smile,
A favourite song, a hand held tight,
Can spark a flicker through the haze
And fill a darkened day with light.
For though dementia may reshape
The pathways winding through the mind,
It cannot steal a person's worth,
