It's September next week......
Don't shoot the messenger (we can't believe it's come around so quickly too).

Here's what's available at the forge next month:

10th, 11th, 12th or 13th September - spaces for one or two for a full day, or a half-day for two
27th September - full day for one only

You don't need any prior experience, you don't have to share equipment or tools (you have your own forge and anvil to work with), lots of personal tuition as there are only one or two of you at each day, and learn a new and very traditional skill using your hands - why not come and be a blacksmith for a day.

Hope you are enjoying a cooler day today.

It's been tough these past few weeks, as too hot for forging, so I had to push so many people to different dates.

Hopefully we are through the worst and can start planning and enjoying courses again!

If you fancy a trip to the forge in the coming weeks, I'd be delighted to welcome you for some fun at the forge. No previous experience is necessary, everything is provided for you, you have your own forge and anvil to work on and lots of help from me (as required).

After a tough summer, it would be great to see you.

Fancy a day out at the forge?

Try your hand at something completely new (no experience necessary), or come back to something you haven't done since school?

Why not be a blacksmith for a day?

You don't need any previous experience; I will teach you traditional techniques using the forge, anvil and hammer, and you will come away with something you have made with your own hands. I have two forges and two anvils, so there is no sharing of equipment and lots of tuition (as required). This is about you trying something different and creative; I'm there to guide you and help only when necessary.

Spaces available from September onwards, just pop to the diary and choose a date to suit. Please follow the link in the comments below.

You can come on your own, with a friend, or try a half-day experience (half-days are for two only).

Summer holidays can be great fun, and also, if you have family, slightly exhausting! Why not treat yourself to some me-time and get creative with metal, using your own hands to make something to take home and treasure.

August is fully booked (and it's a little warm for forging at the moment), so why not get organised and get a date in the autumn sorted. Hope to see you at the forge very soon.

Lovely weekend of forging with some budding blacksmiths.

We were celebrating birthdays, and redeeming vouchers.

You don't need an excuse to book a day at the forge, why not come and try it out for yourself?

I have a couple of options to book in June (27th for one, or 28th for one or two for a full or half day) and plenty more options in July.

The weather is looking damp, come and stay dry by the forge, learning some traditional techniques, crafting something with your own hands, using heat and a hammer.

No previous experience is necessary, you will not be sharing equipment, you have your own forge and anvil to work on and lots of tuition (as required) from me!

Courses are for one or two only (unless you book a group), so no waiting around for your turn and you get to work at your own pace to create something special to take home and treasure.

Saturday 13th June - space for one for a full day
Saturday 27th June - space for one for a full day
Sunday 28th June - space for one or two for a full day, or two for a half-day.
