๐Ÿ˜๏ธ My walk starts in Middlehamโ€™s cobbled Market Place, where the free parking on the โ€˜Town Wastesโ€™ puts me right at the heart of this famous racing town. Spotting a few thoroughbreds heading towards the gallops gives the morning a memorable start.

The The Tour Of Britain is coming to town!

We are thrilled to announce that Stage 4 of the race, from Helmsley to Leyburn, will finish right here in Leyburn on Saturday 5th September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our town to welcome world-class cyclists and visitors, and to showcase everything Leyburn has to offer. Expect a great atmosphere and an exciting finish!

IN ONE WEEKโ€™S TIME!
On Monday 4th May 2-5pm the village hall will be hosting the East Witton Community History Day 2026. All are welcome to come along and explore maps, photos and documents relating to the history of East Witton and the surrounding area. Enjoy tea/coffee and cake in the hall and admire the beauty of East Witton in spring. Donations gratefully received, in aid of our roof and floor repairs.
