A small life update with exciting news!

The next 2 weeks I am cruising up Lough Erne then down the Shannon Erne waterway to the hot air balloon festival at Lough Key…..

…. With a film crew from Channel 4 onboard as I’ll be featuring in next years series of Narrow Escapes!!

I’ll do my best to film lots of content for you & am hoping to specifically film the waterways parking along the Shannon Erne for another waterways parking post.

I may be a bit quieter on here as might not have a lot of editing time but what I’ll do is post snippets as I go to the stories as they don’t need editing.

Exciting times ahead 🎬🎥

**Sometimes you don’t need a big adventure. You just need to actually go. 🚐☕️

Where would you escape to this weekend?**

Hiring a boat on Lough Erne or arriving in Enniskillen on your own boat? 🚤

There are 7 different places to moor in Enniskillen, and where you choose really does depend on what you need.

⚡ Want electric, water and pump-out?
🐕 Travelling with a dog?
🛍️ Need to stock up at the shops?
🎭 Heading to the theatre?
🌅 Or just want a cracking sunset?

I’ve put all 7 together with what each is best for, facilities and a few local tips I’ve picked up from using them myself.

📌 Save this for your next Lough Erne trip
↗️ Share it with someone planning a boating holiday

And if you’ve moored in Enniskillen before, which one do you choose?

Only in Ireland would someone decide a BUS was an obstacle to kitesurf over… 😂🪁

I’d completely forgotten I had this footage from when I went to Battle for the Lake on Achill Island a couple of years ago including the moment the kitesurfers started jumping over the festival bus! 🤯

And it’s coming back 25–27 September 2026.

It’s definitely earned a place in my growing collection of wonderfully weird and unusual Irish festivals. 🇮🇪

🚐 Campervan people: I stayed right by the action when I went too, so I’ll dig out what I know about that for another post.

Would you go to this one?

12 months of waiting to get my home back… and this was how it was returned to me. 😭

When the boat finally went back into the water, I thought one of the worst periods of my life was finally coming to an end.

Then I started looking properly.

Poor workmanship, unfinished jobs… and someone had even written a phone number across the beautiful original woodwork I’d chosen to keep. I was absolutely gutted.

I gave the boatyard another 48 hours to put things right. Eventually I’d had enough. I wanted my home back.

So the boys came aboard, we settled back in and I finally put up my Gone Sailing sign. ❤️⚓️

After everything we’d been through, surely this was finally our happy ending?

We made it to Ballyconnell… and then something else went wrong. 🤦‍♀️

➡️ Part 3 coming soon.

Remember those Waterways stops? ⚓ Here’s one you can explore by boat OR campervan! 🚐🏰 Tully Castle, Lough Erne.

A safari… but make it in the sky! 🐺🦒🐘🦁✨

Hundreds of drones transformed the night sky into a whole host of animals at Space Safari how incredible is this?!

From a howling wolf and slithering snake to blinking giraffes, elephants and warthogs, I genuinely couldn’t decide which one I loved most.

Which animal gets your vote? 👇

Another one for Dare to Explore ✨

P.S. 🚐 I parked at Hillsborough Forest for this one handy if you’re exploring the area by campervan or motorhome.

Remember those Waterways stops you all loved? 👀🚤

Well, here’s a little teaser before Part 2… and this one comes with a CASTLE. 🏰

Tully Castle on Lower Lough Erne is one of those brilliant places you can explore by ROAD or WATER.

🇬🇧✈️ THE RED ARROWS OVER ENNISKILLEN! ✈️🇬🇧

Well, that was quite a view from home! 😍

The Red Arrows flew right over the River Erne this afternoon on their way to the flypast at St Angelo Airport and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to watch them from my narrowboat.

Turn the sound up you can hear them coming before they appear!

Enniskillen Castle, the River Erne, my floating home and the Red Arrows. What a moment. ❤️🤍💙

Did anyone else catch them over Fermanagh? Show me your photos/videos in the comments! 👇

Finally got my campervan back from the garage after it went in in June 29th. Water heater/system still not fixed though ...
