April Hiking Club

Thank you everyone for joining hiking club!

We went on a fabulous bluebell/flowers adventure this month. Exploring the textures of the woods and discovering all the little flowers surrounding us almost daily.

Found some wood sorrel, did you know, that the active chemical in wood sorrel is ascorbic acid? Giving it that unique sour, green apple tang. Nature is so cool!

Along the way, we found huge ditches to run up and down, trees with gnarly bark for awesome crayon rubbings, windy paths through the bluebells and even a cliff edge! Beetles were rescued from the path and giant logs relocated.

I'm so happy to be able to share nature with such curious souls.

Today was an interesting day.

After a bit of a stop start beginning to the hike, we managed a bit of the seven sisters before we lost the light.

Walking to Corfe Castle

The weather gods were were much on my side this week. We had some fabulous cloud formations, lots of sun, a little wind and all the chats.

Guiding people through the past and present is the best part of my job!

Durdle Door and the fossil forest.

What a lovely way to spend a few days, guiding a great group of humans, from a beautiful hotel, in a stunning part of the world.
