Doing our bit for Liverpool’s coastline 💜

On Wednesday, some of the Purple Walking Tours team were delighted to get involved in the Coastal Beach Clean, supporting an important initiative organised for the first time by Global Ports, who now manage Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

Our team helped collect all sorts of waste from the coastline, including discarded plastic straws, bottles and other plastic items. It was a brilliant reminder of just how much of an impact the everyday choices we make can have on our precious environment. 🌍

A huge thank you to everyone involved for organising such a worthwhile day and to our team members who gave up their time to get stuck in! 👏

A little reminder from us all: avoid single-use plastics where you can, choose reusable alternatives, and always dispose of waste responsibly. ♻️

We’re looking forward to doing our bit again next year!

So International Beatleweek 2026 has just came to a close. The City welcomed guests from all over the world, I had a group of 15 alongside Purple Tours UK 🎸 🎶

They all came off the incredible “Majestic Princess” 🚢. Just one more visit next week for the 2026 season, lots of cruise passengers/fans sharing their Beatles memories & stories.

I’ll be honest, not really work for me. I’m just preaching to the converted 😃

Currently got Beatles bookings in until November.

🎶 What a FABULOUS Beatles Week! 🎶

Liverpool has been buzzing with Beatles fans from all over the world, and we’ve loved welcoming so many amazing guests to the city, from those visiting Liverpool for the very first time, to those returning to relive the magic all over again. 💜

We’ve also had lots of cruise passengers joining us, bringing their own incredible Beatles stories and memories to share along the way.

And some stories are truly unforgettable… ❤️

One of our favourite moments was meeting two sisters from Hamburg, whose Mum actually saw The Beatles perform live at the legendary Star-Club in Hamburg back in 1962! 🇩🇪🎸

It’s moments like these that make showing people around Liverpool so special, hearing personal stories, sharing memories, and bringing the history of The Beatles to life right here in the city where it all began.

Thank you to everyone who joined us during another brilliant Beatles Week. We’ve had an absolute blast! 🎶✨

The Fab Four had a brilliant day in Liverpool! 🎸🍺

Joined by our tour guide Dave and driver Phil, they explored the city in one of our executive vans from our transport partners DW Travel⭐️

After their half-day tour, they finished things off with a refreshing b**r at Ye Cracke, a traditional 19th-century Liverpool inn whose name comes from a local word for “alley”.

And what better way to round off a Liverpool adventure after arriving on the Celebrity Eclipse? 🚢

There’s nothing better than seeing our friendly guides waiting on the waterfront, ready to welcome guests off the cruise ships for another day of exploring Liverpool. 🚢❤️

Small groups, local knowledge, plenty of laughs, and a proper Scouse welcome from the moment you step ashore. We love meeting visitors from all over the world and showing them the city we’re so proud to call home.

What a day to be on our Ticket to Ride tour! 🎸✨

We visited the iconic Strawberry Field with another wonderful small group, while Sir Paul McCartney was back in his hometown attending the LIPA graduation ceremonies.

Paul returned to celebrate the achievements of graduating students and welcome five leading figures from the creative arts industry as new LIPA Companions.

Many people don’t realise that LIPA has a deeply personal connection to Paul. The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts was founded by Sir Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty after Paul discovered that his former school, the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys, had fallen into disrepair following its closure. Determined to give the building a new purpose, he helped transform it into the world-renowned performing arts academy it is today. With support from legendary producer George Martin, the project took seven years and £20 million to bring to life.

A truly special day to be exploring Beatles history in the city where it all began. Liverpool never stands still, its incredible musical legacy continues to inspire new generations.
