We recently had the pleasure of welcoming this talented young acting duo on one of our Beatles tours, stepping back in time to explore the places that helped shape the world's most famous band.

From the streets of Liverpool to the stories behind John, Paul, George and Ringo, they soaked up every moment of Beatles history. Who knows... perhaps one day we'll be saying we toured Liverpool with them before they became household names! ⭐️

A fantastic small group out with our guide Dave Barlow recently on our Ticket to Ride Tour!

The group spent the day retracing the childhood story of The Beatles, visiting some of the places that shaped the band’s early years, including the church hall where John Lennon first met Paul McCartney, a moment that changed music history forever.

One of the highlights was a stop at the John Lennon Peace Sign Statue, located outside St Barnabas Church in Mossley Hill, where Penny Lane meets Allerton Road. Created by artist Laura Lian, the statue was unveiled to inspire new generations and help keep John & Yoko's message of peace alive.

What are the chances of that? 🎶👀

On today's Beatles walking tour, guest Ian Anderson found himself standing beside his namesake on Liverpool's famous Wall of Fame on Mathew Street!

While many know Ian Anderson as the legendary frontman of Jethro Tull, there's a Liverpool connection too. Although Jethro Tull never played The Cavern Club, Ian himself appeared there twice in 1966 as part of the John Evan Band.

A brilliant little moment of musical coincidence captured in the heart of Liverpool's musical history.

We had some wonderful groups join us on our Shore Excursions, including the very first running of our brand new Waterfront Maritime & Liverpool History Walk, finished perfectly with a traditional English Cream Tea at the beautiful White Star Line Hotel, with its historic Titanic links. ☕

💜 Celebrating 5 Years... with a little help from some amazing local businesses 💜

As part of our 5th anniversary celebrations, we wanted to support some brilliant local companies who helped make the evening extra special.

Our team received beautiful handmade wooden coasters created by The Mersey Forest featuring our logo, a lovely touch and especially fitting as wood is the traditional 5 year anniversary gift. Huge thanks to Joanna and Mark for making this happen.

We also picked up delicious purple-wrapped chocolates from the lovely independent shop Beans and Bars at the Bluecoat, a hidden gem we’d definitely recommend visiting when you’re in Liverpool!

And we have to ask… 👀

🎉 Last week we celebrated 5 Years of Purple Tours 💜

On May 13th, we marked our 5th anniversary with a special evening at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool, a chance to reflect on five amazing years of tours, stories, guests and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to Tom, Paul and the fantastic Titanic Hotel Liverpool event team for looking after us so well and helping the evening run smoothly.
We also loved celebrating with delicious canapés, beautiful cupcakes from Cannellio Cakes, stunning balloons from The Little Lily Balloon Company, and of course plenty of purple sweets and chocolate! 💜

For our anniversary chocolates, we visited Beans and Bars, a brilliant independent chocolate shop based in one of the small outlets inside the Bluecoat on School Lane. We picked up some delicious purple wrapped chocolates which were perfect for the celebration! 🍫
Our daily walking tours meet right outside the Bluecoat, so it's a perfect opportunity to visit independent shops and cafés while supporting this fantastic charitable space in the heart of Liverpool!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Purple Walking Tours over the past five years... here’s to many more adventures ahead!
