Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions our 52 service in Runcorn has stopped.The roads are too much of a risk to passengers and drivers. Our other services are still trying to run but not to time. Please be patient. We will update you as the day continues.

We are currently still running all our bus, school and college services. There may be time delays and depending on side roads we may have to miss some parts of routes out until clear but currently the routes are all being covered as best we can under the circumstances. Thank you.

I welcome today’s news the number 62 bus service - Runcorn to Warrington - has been saved.

Warrington's Own Buses recently announced it was withdrawing services 62 and 62A, with the last day of operation on Friday, September 22.

This would have left the Moore and Sandymoor areas without any direct bus service.

However, Halton Borough Council carried out a tendering exercise with alternative providers.

Ashcroft Travel has won the contract on a timetable that is practically the same, with an hourly service, Monday to Friday (except public holidays), starting on Monday, September 25.

This revival of the service has been made possible due to a subsidy from the Mersey Gateway Sustainable Travel Fund, available for the time being.

It’s hoped the reprieve will allow time for the route to establish itself on a commercial footing but the message to the travelling public is very much, “use it or lose it”.

Well done to all concerned. A big thank you to local Councillor Mike Ryan who championed the cause.

2 of our coaches had a fantastic time in Paristhis weekend taking our regulars to watch their beloved team. Both groups have sent fantastic feedback to our 4 amazing drivers and although the result didnt go their way it did not hamper their spirits and journey was a breeze there and back. Thanks lads amazing as always. And thanks to the 2 supporter groups you were fantastic. Here's to a succesful next season.
