The Palladium Theatre was built in 1920 by architect Arthur Hewitt, who also designed Clare’s department store and the Washington Hotel.( Which also feature his signature Domes).

Built as a Kinematograph hall ( films) it has been many things. Opera house, bingo hall, music hall and circus.
Gracie Fields (1898-1979) who grew up in Rochelle performed here and so many other famous entertainers.

In 2001 Wetherspoons opened it as a pub and fitted it back to look as it did in its hay day …. A theatre.

One of the businesses pubs in Llandudno. Packed full of history and stories.

Clare’s Llandudno, packed full of history since 1927, amazing stories and fabulous things to buy. Don’t forget the Attic tea rooms on the second floor. Seriously good.
