There’s still plenty of year left to travel.

And actually, some of my favourite trips are at this time of year.

The summer crowds start to disappear, the Christmas markets begin to open, cruise itineraries shift into autumn and you can either chase the last of the European sunshine… or go a little further for the real thing.

These are five types of trip I’d be looking at between now and Christmas, and I’m taking my own advice with one of them, as I’ll be heading to Barbados later this month.

So, what are you choosing?

Last of the sun in the Canaries, an autumn cruise, Christmas markets, Caribbean sunshine or a proper bucket-list Arctic escape?

If you’d like to squeeze another trip into 2026, tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll curate some options around you.

Christmas market season is closer than you think…

And if a festive weekend is on your list this year, now is a very good time to start planning it.

But which one?

Prague for that classic Christmas-market atmosphere.
Budapest if you want festive *and* a brilliant city break.
Kraków for a beautiful weekend without the bigger price tag.
Vienna for something a little more elegant.
Strasbourg if your brief is essentially make it look like a Christmas film.

The right choice isn’t necessarily the destination everyone else is booking, it’s the one that works for your dates, your budget and the kind of weekend you actually want.

That’s where I come in.

Send me your dates, preferred departure airport and approximate budget and I’ll curate the rest.

Kinda chic, apparently.

But really, somewhere along the way we decided booking a holiday should involve 47 browser tabs, hours of comparing reviews and wondering whether the room upgrade is actually worth it.

It doesn’t have to.

Tell me where you’re thinking of going, what matters to you and what you’d like to spend, and I’ll take it from there.

The research, the comparisons, the details, the booking and someone there when you need them.

Maybe having your own Personal Travel Consultant is back in fashion after all.

Cruise… but perhaps not as you know it.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that cruising is a particular type of holiday.

The reality? There’s a ship for almost every kind of traveller.

Small ships that feel more like boutique hotels.

Big ships with incredible restaurants, entertainment and things happening from morning until night.

Adults-only ships. Family-focused ships. Ultra-luxury. Expedition. Yacht-style. Laid-back. All-out.

And then there are the itineraries, waking up somewhere new, exploring for the day, and coming back to your hotel without ever having to repack your suitcase.

The trick isn’t deciding whether you’re a “cruise person.”

It’s finding the right cruise for you.

And with September traditionally being one of the biggest months for cruise launches, offers and new-season bookings, now is a very good time to start looking.

If cruise has ever intrigued you but you’ve thought “I’m not sure it’s for me”, send me a message. You might be surprised by what I’d recommend.

Summer isn’t over yet.

September is actually one of my favourite times to get away. The school holiday rush starts to ease, temperatures are a little more comfortable, but in the right places summer is still very much happening.

So, if you’ve been watching everyone else go away this summer and thinking I really need a holiday… you haven’t missed your chance.

These are five places I’d be looking at right now, but which one I’d recommend would depend entirely on you.

Do you want complete switch-off?
Great food and somewhere to explore?
A beautiful hotel?
Reliable sunshine?
Or somewhere that gives you a bit of everything?

That’s the bit I love, finding the place that fits the holiday you actually want.

And there is still availability for August and September, so if a late summer escape is calling, send me a message and tell me what you’re looking for.

Let’s make September yours.

Back together. 🤍

Today we scattered Gu and Dac’s ashes at Patch, Gwbert, a place that holds so many memories of long summer days, family holidays and happy times together.

It was exactly where they wanted to be, and somehow that made today feel very special.

Rest in the blue, in the warmth of the sun.
Your ultimate holiday has just begun.

The best holidays aren’t found. They’re carefully curated.

There’s no shortage of destinations.

Or hotels.

Or websites promising the “perfect” holiday.

The challenge isn’t finding somewhere to go. It’s finding the place that feels right for you.

The hotel where you’ll genuinely switch off.

The destination that matches the kind of holiday you need, not just the one that’s trending.

The little details that turn a good trip into one you’ll still be talking about years later.

That’s why I don’t start with a search.

I start with a conversation.

Because the best holidays aren’t built around algorithms or filters.

They’re carefully curated around the people taking them.

Where’s the one place you’ve been that just felt right from the moment you arrived?

Currently on my desk...

One of the things I love most about my job is that no two weeks are ever the same.

This week, I’m helping clients with:
• Late summer escapes for August and September
• Autumn city breaks across Europe
• Cruise holidays (September is always one of the most exciting times of year for new itineraries and offers.)
• Ski holidays and Lapland for the winter season

Every enquiry starts with a conversation about how someone wants to travel, and that’s exactly how I like it.

Whether you’re hoping to squeeze in one more beach holiday, planning an autumn escape, thinking about your first cruise or getting ahead with next winter’s plans, I’d love to help.

So... what’s on your travel wish list at the moment?

Travel Agent Confessions

One of the biggest misconceptions about booking a holiday is that it all comes down to price.

In reality, the best holidays usually start with a very different conversation.

“We want somewhere we’ll actually switch off.”

“We loved the atmosphere in Italy…”

“We don’t want to spend all day by the pool.”

“We’ve only got a week, so we want to make the most of it.”

Those are the conversations that help me find the right destination, hotel and experience for each client.

Of course, budget is always part of the picture, but the cheapest option is rarely the one people remember years later.

The holidays my clients rave about are the ones that felt like they were made for them.

So if I ask lots of questions before I recommend anything… that’s why.

💬 What’s the first thing you look for when choosing a holiday? Is it the hotel, the destination, the food, the beach, or something else?

The Travel Curator Edit | Late Summer Sunshine

There’s something special about this time of year.

The Mediterranean is still bathed in sunshine, the pace begins to soften, and some of Europe’s most beautiful destinations become just that little bit more relaxed.

If someone asked me where I’d choose to travel over the next few weeks, this would be my shortlist.

PAPHOS
Reliable sunshine, beautiful coastal hotels and an easy choice for a luxury escape.

ELOUNDA
Sophisticated Crete, with elegant hotels, calm waters and long, unhurried lunches.

PUGLIA
One of Italy’s most rewarding regions—whitewashed towns, boutique masserias and unforgettable food.

BUDVA
A wonderful introduction to Montenegro, where dramatic mountains meet the Adriatic and luxury still feels refreshingly good value.

FETHIYE
Turquoise coastline, beautiful resorts and one of my favourite destinations for late summer.

If you’ve been thinking about one more escape before autumn arrives, I’d be looking at these destinations first.

Which one would make your shortlist?
