The sun is blazing down on the Old Sheep Farm today! The cuckoos and swallows have arrived back for the summer and are now filling the air with their song. There are wafts of coconut perfume coming in on the warm breeze from the gorse on the mountain. What a blissful day!

Brrr, it’s been a bit chilly up here at the Old Sheep Farm cottages! Our cottages are currently closed for a few months so they can get their annual maintenance and ensure they are in top condition for the busy year ahead. When we open 1st March, the daffodils should be in bloom and the lambs ready to be born!

The ivies on the north face of the farmhouse . Yes, people say growing climbers like this up walls will damage the mortar - but in this case I think they are holding the house together! And are much more beautiful than any paint job 😍 the bees, bugs and birds that benefit from these plants would certainly agree.

The Old Sheep Farm turned to the Old Cow Farm for our garden breakfast a few days ago. They obviously liked the look of our porridge as we had an impromptu herd galloping past the farmhouse that afternoon! Luckily the flower gardens suffered no casualties.
