A POPULAR food festival has announced that it has a new location for 2023.

Llangollen Food Festival will be taking place on the weekend of October 14 and 15.

LLANGOLLEN CHOSEN AS BEST TOWN IN WALES!

More than 9,000 Which? members rated the inland towns and villages they'd visited in the UK, with the top spots going to Wells in Somerset and Avebury in Wiltshire.

BUT beautiful Llangollen was selected as Wales' number one.

So lovely to see the Eisteddfod back properly again after covid. Managed to catch a little of this lovely Irish dance group before the heavens opened earlier.

It’s all going in in Llan at the moment, Plas Newydd is well worth a visit anyway, such a quirky place with such a story behind it.

If you’ve not seen Gentlemen Jack it’s a BBC series about Anne Listers life. She was before her time, she was a successful entrepreneur, landowner and controversially ‘the first modern lesbian.’ She kept many detailed diaries written in code in which writes of the ladies of Llangollen after reading about them in a newspaper.
