Mynd i Ŵyl Fecryll Aberaeron heddiw?

The lively Aberaeron Mackerel Festival, also known as the ‘Mackerel Fiesta’ is an annual event that marks the end of the summer fishing season and the return of dolphins to Cardigan Bay.

Witness the mock funeral procession of a giant papier-mâché mackerel effigy, enjoy a blessing, then join the ‘wake’ party for delicious barbecued mackerel, live music, and refreshing drinks. The day ends at sunset with the ceremonial burning of the effigy on the beach.
