Maes Offa Stays offers a central spot for guests to explore the surrounding walks and places to visit . Llandysilio is a small village in Montgomeryshire, Powys, Wales, it is close to many walks and historic towns and villages. Situated between the English market town of Oswestry and the welsh town of Welshpool, it is the ideal location for exploring the beautiful countryside of the welsh boarder

lands. Our home Maes Offa is located next to the A483, which means it has great links for daytrips out to the many beautiful locations nearby, but does provide some road noise during the day. We are close to Offa's Dyke a large earthwork defence on the border between England and Wales, built by Offa, the Anglo-Saxon king of Mercia from AD 757 until 796, who is traditionally believed to have ordered its construction to defend his lands from the Welsh. Access to the famous Offa's dyke path is less than a small stroll way from us. Beautiful locations such as Lake Vyrnwy, Powys Castle, Llangollen, Chirk Castle are just a drive away! Why not take the Offa’s dyke path along the Montgomery Canal to Llynymynech to visit the historic lime works site! Alternatively, bring your canoe and travel by water along the canal taking in the beautiful welsh countryside. You could even visit Llanymynech Rocks nature reserve or go for a walk up to Rodney’s Pillar and take in the breath taking views of the valley soundings! Whatever you do or wherever you go Maes Offa will always offer you a warm, comfortable and restful location to return to after a busy day exploring!

Due to ongoing housing Developments around our property we have decided to remain closed until this is all completed. It is likely to be for a considerable length of time, we estimate around two years! We look forward to welcoming people back after this period and we thank all our lovley holiday makers we have had over the last few years!

Just on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park and south of Lake Bala, Lake Vyrnwy is set amidst the remote and beautiful Berwyn Mountains. With spectacular waterfalls, and unspoilt open countryside, a visit to Lake Vyrnwy is a wonderful day out. The lake is just a short drive from the Shropshire border (The Welsh Marches) it is within easy reach of Maes Offa Stays.

Walks, horse trails, 24,000 acre RSPB Reserve, sculpture park, boating, adventure activities, cycle hire, rough shooting, fly fishing, clay pigeon shooting, local craft shops and a host of places to eat, Lake Vyrnwy is a fantastic day out for everyone!

There is plenty of free car parking and the spectacular scenery is free too!

If you've always fancied giving caravanning a go, but don't have access to one to try, then a stay in Gladys is the perfect solution!

We provide everything from the pitch (in a lovely private garden), the facilities (toilet, comfy bed, full kitchen) and the out door space to relax (including patio table, chairs and chiminea)!

She is pitched in her own private garden of our Edwardian farm house in the heart of the welsh country side. Located on the outskirts of village of Llandysilio, Powys, and next to Offa's D**e Path. Gladys offers a warm and welcome retreat, ideally situated for access to some beautiful walking country.
