I am missing giving people a dream holiday to stunning Peru. We shut down due to Covid but as with these things they pass, I am now thinking to relaunch Peruvian Secrets and get back to what I love best. I welcome all our followers, past clients and of course future clients if you want to see us back? We would keep all our wonderful guides, drivers and of course our amazing tour controller based in Lima. Let's hear from you and thank you for your comments.

Missing Peruvian Secrets and all my lovely clients, I just loved every minute of planning, booking and running a tour. Should I try again? Everything is there ready to go but is now the time. Maybe hearing your comments will help me decide. Do people still want a professional designed tour that is good value for money? Is it the case today people want to do it all themselves through hotel booking sites, flight providers and TripAdvisor. Those that have travelled with Peruvian Secrets would most likely say they are really pleased they did, those that met with local problems such as strikes would say absolutely should use Peruvian Secrets.

It is with sadness I announce the closing of Peruvian Secrets, after 23 years of providing amazing holidays to our clients. For me it's the people I worked with that made it possible, most have become good friends who I will miss dearly, charming hotels, excellent drivers and the wonderful guides who brought a passion and love to each destination. I wish to thank all my pass clients who trusted their experiences in us, shared the journey and have lasting memories. Over these 23 years my family and friends have been a wealth of support so I thank you also.

With the problems currently in Peru we are glad we have no clients out there. At the start of the strikes we had a couple out in Cusco, hearing of the impending strike action with just 3 days advance warning we offered to change the itinerary so our clients missed nothing and had no additional costs. They refused to accept our assistance and ended up missing one of the best parts of their tour, they also had to pay themselves for 2 extra nights in their Cusco hotel. You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink. In 23 years this was the first time our valuable local free assistance has been rejected, Needless to say they found out at considerable cost their mistake as our advice and rearranged tour was not taken. Remember you only know how good your tour operator is when something like this goes wrong.

After two and a half years with no tours of Peru we are getting back to giving our passengers that extra special experience no other company does or can offer. The recovery has been difficult as many left the world of guiding and hospitality to seek other employment, they needed to make a living during Covid years. Due to the way we work Peruvian Secrets has been helping dedicated guides get back on their feet and working again. Each and every one prefers working with us and our policy of how to present theirselves to our guests, we pay far more than any other company to our guides as respect for their work. I cannot express how happy I am as Managing Director to be getting back to doing what we all love doing best, let's all work towards a stronger future and making people happy.

Here is a photo of our guests staying on Amantani Island in Lake Titicaca, I am the godfather of the young girl and our love for this family is so deep they live in my heart.

Let's all hope for a new and exciting post Covid 2023.

Sometimes I don't like it when my predictions come right, unfortunately this time I was perfectly correct. You will see at the start of 2022 I told everyone to book your holiday now as international flights would go up in price. What has happened is they have doubled in price due to I imagine the fuel price rise. You can now expect to pay ove £1100 each just for a flight to Peru, in January I paid £625 for our flights to Ecuador. With international flights so expensive it is important Peruvian Secrets provides a good low price for all the services on the ground that make for a great holiday.

We will be keeping an eye on international flights and prices to bring you further advice on when best to visit.

Look out for our new refreshed logo, a new start and a new look, as we resume our wonderful tours of South America. Just designed a tour for a family of 4 with young children, its so important to have hotels with suitable room, activities the younger ones will enjoy, but most of all, consideration with starting times each day as we all know getting lively children ready to leave, is a challenge in itself.

I just love my job.
