Sadly Storm Amy thwarted some of the final Tartan Week events, but it didn’t thwart the Lochcarron community spirit. Whilst the storm wreaked havoc, our community came together to help those in need; individuals, organisations, businesses. Tartan Week therefore ended with a sense of unity and resilience that truly embodies the spirit of the event. Thanks to everyone who got involved over the week and we look forward to seeing you next year.

A wonderful afternoon at The Lochcarron Centre this afternoon. Many thanks are due to Ross Calderwood of Lochalsh Pipes and his friend Findlay who shared the history of the small pipes, as well as poetry and music. Thanks also to Liz and Kenny who shared stories and photos of Lochcarron in bygone days. Thanks also to Cindie, who announced the winner of the 'win a painting competition' as Rita Sykes who got all the right answers!
