We often get asked if we're on the North Coast 500 route—yes, we are! But we're not a quick overnight stop. At Stoer Bay Chalets, we welcome guests for longer, more relaxed stays. Our 7-night breaks (shorter in winter) give you time to settle in, explore Assynt properly, and enjoy the peace that comes with not rushing.
Guests often pass through, see our chalets, and say: “Next time, we’re coming back to stay.”
And they really do.

Stoer Bay Chalets are a family run business purchased by us in November 2017. In our chalets, we’ve tried to create a snug and welcoming home from home ( Gaelic - “cosagach – that feeling of being snug, sheltered or cosy”) , where everyone of all ages and interests can enjoy a truly relaxing holiday. Our chalets are nestled into the edge of the village of Stoer, 7 miles out of Lochinver, on the shore of Lochan Aigeill. Look out for our resident otter family often seen fishing for Brown trout and playing in the loch as well as numerous kinds of water fowl and an amazing array of wildbirds Our aim is to do all we can to ensure you have an amazing time here in Assynt. We are committed to making your stay with us happy and relaxed as possible and we have provided everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible , so that like us you will grow a life long love for this amazing place.
