When you get a day like today☀️☀️☀️, you just have to make the most of it - carpe diem 😊 We had a brilliant time exploring the ridge of Glas Bheinn and then descending via the Loch of the Green Corrie, with a few swim stops along the way🥰 We’ve never climbed this hill before and it was just magic ✨ If you’re heading to Assynt for a spot of hillwalking, this is a gem 😊

The hills are a purple haze just now with the glorious show of heather….although, this was a pic from yesterday because you’d struggle to see very much in today’s storm💨☔️🌧️ 😉 It is wild and windy and takes your breath away but you really know you’re alive 😊

Another day, another swim spot ☀️☀️☀️ This is my fave - the White Shore. After a quick jellyfish patrol and a brisk sweep up of offenders with our trusty branch, we had an amazing dip 😊😊😊 Our own wee bit of paradise….when Assynt does summer, she does it in style ☀️🥰☀️

We took a wee jaunt north yesterday, stopping to admire the mighty views of Quinag from the old jetty at Kylestrome. For days when you’d rather look at a mountain than climb it 😉☀️☀️☀️☀️ Well worth a wander ❤️

Wild swimming options everywhere! This time, an evening dip at Alltan Abradhan which is only a 10 minute walk from the cottages past an old water mill and along a beautiful burn. What a wonderful world 🌍 🥰☀️

Last weekend, we had the enormous privilege of hosting Claudie and her family. They had come to Assynt for the wonderful Claudie to live her dream of climbing Suilven as an 85 and 3/4 year old woman which she did in blustery conditions of a rather chilly Saturday. What an inspirational woman 🤩✨🤩✨🤩!!! We’ve been bathed in sunshine for the last few weeks but I must confess, I’m rather partial to a big sky cloudscape….just as well since we see quite a lot of them 😉😉 Assynt is simply spectacular whatever the weather 😊😊☀️☀️☀️🌧️💨💦🌧️🌦️🌤️!!! Come and see for yourself- we still have a a few weeks available here and there so you can have your choice of season ☀️🌨️💨❄️🌧️….you might even get them all in one day 😉
