We took a wee jaunt north yesterday, stopping to admire the mighty views of Quinag from the old jetty at Kylestrome. For days when you’d rather look at a mountain than climb it 😉☀️☀️☀️☀️ Well worth a wander ❤️

Wild swimming options everywhere! This time, an evening dip at Alltan Abradhan which is only a 10 minute walk from the cottages past an old water mill and along a beautiful burn. What a wonderful world 🌍 🥰☀️

Last weekend, we had the enormous privilege of hosting Claudie and her family. They had come to Assynt for the wonderful Claudie to live her dream of climbing Suilven as an 85 and 3/4 year old woman which she did in blustery conditions of a rather chilly Saturday. What an inspirational woman 🤩✨🤩✨🤩!!! We’ve been bathed in sunshine for the last few weeks but I must confess, I’m rather partial to a big sky cloudscape….just as well since we see quite a lot of them 😉😉 Assynt is simply spectacular whatever the weather 😊😊☀️☀️☀️🌧️💨💦🌧️🌦️🌤️!!! Come and see for yourself- we still have a a few weeks available here and there so you can have your choice of season ☀️🌨️💨❄️🌧️….you might even get them all in one day 😉

We’re learning that whenever you get a weather window in Assynt, you must seize the moment! Hence a fabulous day on the hills with our pals 🥰 Oh my goodness! What an amazing hike. This is the relatively undiscovered Breabag which is most definitely a hidden gem. Apparently it’s the only mountain in Assynt from which you can see all the other hills - who knew??!! What an adventure! Which hill will be first on your Assynt mountain adventure list?

There was a whisper of spring yesterday so we headed to the beach where the Poopine encountered her first sea urchin ….. a mind blowing experience for all concerned 🤣🤯🤣 It was nearly as stunning as the weather 😉😉….starting to get excited for the summer now! Have you planned your Assynt adventure yet? Don’t forget that you can bring your doggie pals too 🥰🐶
