🍻 Ever wondered where history meets hops? Step into In De Wildeman, a renowned beer tasting room that echoes tales from 1690—a place where the aroma of spirits and the laughter of patrons have crafted a rich tapestry of experience for centuries. Originally a jenever distillery, this intriguing spot has elegantly preserved its low bar counter and charming atmosphere, inviting you to savor a drink as if stepping back in time.

In 1940, a stunning mosaic was installed to celebrate its 250-year anniversary, but the real transformation came in 1986 when Henk Eggens, co-founder of the iconic Gollem beer cafes, unveiled a new chapter, turning it into a haven for craft beer enthusiasts. Gone were the days of just pilsner; today, this pioneer boasts an impressive selection that includes around 18 taps and over 200 bottled varieties from across the globe—truly a paradise for the adventurous palate!

**Uncovering Liverpool's Hidden Stories: The Enigmatic Journey of Tithebarn Street**

Nestled within one of Liverpool's original ‘seven streets’, Tithebarn Street invites you to traverse through layers of history, mystery, and camaraderie. Imagine the cobblestones echoing the footsteps of countless souls since the Tithe Barn, commissioned by Lord Molyneux in 1524, cast its shadow over this bustling thoroughfare. By the time the industrial revolution roared to life in the early 19th century, the barn was long gone, giving way to a widening street that would embrace a burgeoning population.

Fast forward to 1842, and Tithebarn Street was pulsating with life, with 18 licensed establishments serving the thirsty masses—a testament to the spirit of camaraderie that beer vaults fostered. It was during this vibrant era that the first inklings of a beloved pub began to emerge under the auspices of High Skellern. Its name, however, danced through the annals of time shrouded in mystery until it re-emerged as the Spirit Vaults in 1860 and later transformed into The Revolving Lamp in 1894. Enter Peter Walker and his son, who would usher in a new chapter by rebranding it simply as Walker’s.

Remarkably, amidst the devastation of World War II bombings, this venerable structure stood resilient, weaving itself into the very fabric of Liverpool’s narrative. By 1997, the pub had been reborn as Shenanigans, thanks to the enterprising spirit of three McDonald’s brothers who found their new home in the city.

✨ Ready to raise a glass in a place steeped in history? Visit Shenanigans at **77 Tithebarn St, Liverpool L2 2EN**, and be part of the legacy!
