🇱🇰🐘⛱ I'm over the moon to have booked, not one, by two families last minute trips to Sri Lanka for next month.

✈Both wanted direct flights followed by a mixture of culture, wildlife and beach time to relax. With availability so tight, they are following similar itineraries but with very different hotels. I'm so excited for them 🥰

🇫🇷⚓️We’ve just had 48 hours in Marseille and honestly, we loved it.

The city can get a bad reputation, but there have been huge improvements over the years and we found it vibrant, fascinating and full of character.

The Old Port is a great place to spend an evening, packed with great bars, delicious restaurants and, of course, bouillabaisse (famous fish stew that originated here) 🦐

👟Yesterday we joined a walking tour and learned more about Marseille’s history, including why so much of the city was flattened during World War II. One area that survived was Le Panier, which was spared because it was used as a ghetto during the war. Today it’s one of the prettiest parts of the city, with narrow winding lanes, independent shops, cosy restaurants and street art on every corner 🧑‍🎨

💒A visit to Notre-Dame de la Garde is an absolute must. Perched high above the city, the church offers stunning 360-degree views of Marseille and the coastline. If you don’t fancy the steep walk, there’s a little tourist train that takes you right to the top 🚂

Marseille definitely exceeded our expectations and was the perfect stop for a couple of days on the French coast.

🇫🇷😎We had a lovely few days in rural Provence.
When we weren’t lazing by our pool, we all enjoyed the local restaurants and wine tasting, along with exploring the beautiful hillside villages of Gordes and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
A highlight was visiting Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque. It was just as stunning as I remembered. The lavender wasn’t quite in full bloom yet, but that had the advantage of far fewer crowds, allowing us to really soak in the peace and beauty of the place.

We’ve now arrived in Marseille for a couple of nights. Time to discover what this vibrant melting pot of cultures has to offer. Looking forward to wandering the old streets, enjoying the waterfront and seeing where we end up👟⛵️

✈️🇫🇷After a stay at Best Western Marseille (one of the best airport hotels we’ve ever stayed at) we are now settled into a beautiful rustic house in the Provençal village of Mormoiron with family. It's one of those places that has everything you need, a gorgeous pool, BBQ, plenty of space to relax with stunning countryside and villages all around.

🍕🥗Last night we enjoyed a fantastic local meal, accompanied by perhaps a little too much rosé 🍷, which feels almost mandatory when you're in this part of France!

💒Today we spent the day exploring Avignon, and what an incredible city it is. I had no idea that Avignon was the centre of the Catholic Church for much of the 14th century, before heading to the Vatican. Walking through the city, you can really feel the weight of that history.

Really looking forward to revisiting some old favourites and discovering new ones over the coming days 😘

🇫🇷✈I'm currently on my way back to Provence, France for a week.

It's been 12 years since we last went (I look like a baby!) It's such a beautiful part of France with stunning villages and views everywhere, as well as the delicious rosé wine its so famous for 🍇

🎒🚸Just like that Half Term is over and it's been back to school and work for most of you today.

🌍I had several families away last week. From a city break in Rome, quiet relaxation on Menorca, the stunning beaches of Sardinia and the Algarve, to luxurious All Inclusives in Greece and Turkey and I'm happy to say there were no major issues - no one ran out of fuel, no last minute fight cancellations and no missed flights due to EES delays at border control in the EU.

✈Travel is happening, and it's safe to say, people are booking holidays. I know some of you are still understandably nervous reading the negative stories in the press, but there are millions of people travelling every day around the world and only a small handful of these bad luck stories make the front pages, so I hope this puts your minds at rest.
