Miami GP Recap 🇺🇸🌴
Kimi Antonelli joins an elite group of drivers to take three consecutive wins after their first victory.... Hill, Hakkinen and now Kimi. 🤯
The 19-year-old converted an impressive pole into victory once again and continuing his incredible season. He now leads the Drivers Championship by 20 points! 🥳
The McLaren boys were equally impressive in the Sprint, with a 1-2 to prove the upgrades have resulted in putting the team back fighting at the front of the grid. Norris pushed hard in the race but felt the team lost out strategically in the pits, with the battle at the front staying tight between Norris, Leclerc, and Antonelli 👀
Behind them, Oscar Piastri secured another strong podium, with George Russell securing P4 and Max Verstappen in P5 following Leclerc’s late drama on the final lap.
Leclerc, battling Piastri for the podium, spun and hit the barriers late on. He managed to continue, but both Russell and Verstappen capitalised in the final two corners to pass. With Leclerc cutting corners to get the car home, he was given a sizeable penalty which demoted him down the pecking order.
Max Verstappen was named Driver of the Day, fighting back from a lap one spin with an aggressive strategy and a series of impressive overtakes before tyre wear caught up with him.
Miami once again delivered. huge crowds, high energy, and a race weekend that’s as much about the spectacle as it is the racing. Noticeably big names were present, including Lionel Messi, Rafa Nadal and Serena Williams.
Despite a five-week gap shaking up the calendar, 2026 is heating up fast,
and with McLaren and Ferrari closing in. This is going to be one of the closest battles in F1 history.
🚨 Don’t just watch it, experience it trackside.
