That review was written at 11pm by someone who was personally offended by the towel situation and has not let it go since 2022.

And honestly, that’s exactly why my clients bring me in before they book.

One angry review can make a perfectly good resort look like a disaster, when the real issue was one chipped tile, one lukewarm espresso, or yes, one towel situation.

I read between the lines, compare the reviews, and tell you what actually matters, so you’re not making a $6,000 decision based on one dramatic paragraph.

Some resorts have genuinely mastered the art of looking incredible online and delivering a perfectly fine experience that you will forget about within six months.

Great photography.
Solid TripAdvisor score.

But vibes that don't quite translate in person.

I book a lot of all-inclusive stays. I have been to enough of them to have very strong feelings about which ones actually deliver and which ones just have a really good social media team.

If my client wants somewhere beautiful where nobody is losing their mind over logistics, these are the ones I keep coming back to for this summer in Europe.

Sardinia, Italy — beaches that rival the Caribbean, half the crowds, and a pace that actually lets you exhale. Kids love the water. Parents love that there is nothing overwhelming about it.

Lake Bled, Slovenia — absurdly beautiful, easy to get around, and the kind of destination where the kids think they're on an adventure and the adults feel like they accidentally found a secret.

Basque Country, Spain — incredible food, stunning coastline, and a region that feels completely different from the Spain most people default to. Easier than people think with kids.

Mallorca, Spain — yes everyone goes to Mallorca, but the quieter northern end is a completely different island. Good beaches, great food, short flights from most of Europe.

Azores, Portugal — volcanic lakes, whale watching, and the kind of nature that makes kids put their screens down without being asked. Genuinely one of the most underrated family destinations in Europe.
