None of the savings from the Olympic Games will be going to grassroots sport - your suggestions, please, on where you think they will end up?

The final bill for the London Olympics is expected to be more than £400m under budget, but the saving will not be spent either on helping pay for the Olympic Stadium's redevelopment or as a windfall for grass-roots sport.

WELCOME TO THE SQUADIFY PREDICTION LEAGUE - place your bets folks!!!

Think you know your sport? Prove yourself as a top tipster and be the envy of your friends by joining Squadify’s Prediction League!

From now until Christmas, we want you to gaze into your crystal balls each week and give us your predictions for the result or occurrence of any sporting event over that weekend.

If bragging rights isn't enough motivation for you, we’ll give whoever is on top of the league on Christmas Day a prize (we haven’t decided exactly what yet, but we promise it will be nice!)

Read on for the rules...

i/ You can make predictions on any sporting event taking place in the UK on Saturdays and Sundays

ii/ You are allowed up to 5 predictions per weekend, but each prediction must be a separate post - post any more and we will only use your first five

iii/ The Prediction League will open on a Friday and all predictions must be posted by 10am each Saturday

iv/ We will use a randomly selected bookmaker's odds each weekend to calculate your winning points - that bookmaker will be announced at 10am each Saturday

v/ You must ‘Like’ our page for your predictions to be valid.

Simple stuff, so get involved - and feel free to invite your friends!

Fun Fact: Big Merv's Walrus has grown so thick, it is said to be completely impervious to light, gravity and time itself.
