Between Covent Garden and the Thames sits one of London’s most famous hotels.

But the Savoy has a history older than it seems and it has something to do with the big golden man on the front of the hotel.

The Jubilee Line* on the Tube is your friend!

But also remember within the central London is an incredibly walkable city and the walk between “Big Ben”* and Buckingham Palace via St James’s Park is one of London’s loveliest strolls.

Just by St Paul’s Cathedral are some new benches. But actually they are not that new. There is an interesting story about recycling London’s monumental granite.

Learnt about it at a great talk organised by who are running a series of events around recycling our stones for a sustainable city.
