Summer travel doesn't have to mean Europe. Some of the best itineraries I'm building right now are in Southeast Asia.

The island-hopping combination of Thailand and Indonesia is one of the strongest trips I put together. Private villas, boat charters through some of the most spectacular water in the world, extraordinary food, and a value proposition that Europe simply cannot compete with at the moment.

Thailand's Andaman islands, Koh Lanta, Koh Yao Noi, and the stretches well away from the main Phuket strip, set the tone beautifully before connecting into Bali as a second base. The Komodo Islands for diving and wildlife. Lombok for something calmer. Raja Ampat for some of the best marine biodiversity on earth.

St. Barths is one of those places that really does live up to the hype. 🌊✨

And with Le Toiny Exclusive Properties, you get the best of both worlds — beautiful private villas in some of the island’s most sought-after locations, alongside the service and attention to detail of Hôtel Le Toiny.

Luxury, privacy and the freedom to experience St. Barths entirely your own way.

The kind of stay that reminds you how special travel can be when everything is just right.

South Africa is one of the most diverse destinations in the world. Here's how I recommend experiencing it:

Cape Town first. It's one of the most visually striking cities on earth, and the design hotel and restaurant scene here has matured significantly. Table Mountain, the Atlantic Seaboard, the Cape Peninsula. Most clients who go for a few days wish they had more.

For wildlife: the private reserves around Sabi Sands share an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. Big Five sightings are among the most consistent on the continent, and the private reserve experience means dramatically fewer vehicles per sighting than in the public park.

For wine: Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are genuinely world-class. The estate stays in Franschhoek in particular, with long lunches, cellar visits, and mountain scenery that doesn't match most people's image of Africa at all.

If you can, try to experience all three. If Africa is on your travel bucket list, let's talk through what makes sense for your trip.

Christian Louboutin's first hotel is in a tiny coastal village in Portugal that most people have never heard of.

Vermelho means red in Portuguese, and Louboutin's signature color shows up exactly where you'd expect it. Each of the 13 rooms is individually designed with antique furniture, hand-painted frescoes, and artwork from his personal collection.

It's a Relais & Châteaux property, and the restaurant Xtian, serving Alentejo cuisine on hand-thrown local tableware, is a big part of why.

The village of Melides itself is the quieter, less discovered neighbor of Comporta on the Alentejo coast. The beach is a ten-minute ride away; guests get there in Fiat 500s with red roofs.

This is the kind of property that books up fast. Message me to start planning!

Cool-cations are officially trending this summer unsurprisingly

More people are planning their peak season trips around comfort and experience. The result? Some of the most spectacular destinations in the world, with a fraction of the usual crowds and temperatures that actually make you want to spend time outside. A few of my favorites right now:

Norway's fjord country is most accessible in summer, and the quality of light at that latitude is something clients consistently say they weren't prepared for. Photographers plan entire trips around it. Just remember to book early as the best accommodations book up quickly.

Iceland in summer is genuinely extraordinary. Long days, dramatic landscapes, and none of the overcrowding that defines peak season in southern Europe.

Vancouver Island in British Columbia is truly special. Old-growth forests, incredible wildlife, world-class kayaking, and a coastal pace that is hard to find anywhere else.

Alaska in summer delivers some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. Glacier trekking, wildlife encounters, and long golden days that stretch well into the evening.

The Atacama Desert in Chile is one of the driest places on earth and one of the best stargazing destinations in the world. Days are warm rather than hot, nights are cool, and the landscape is unlike anything else.

And then there's Patagonia. Remote, dramatic, and one of the most distinctive trips I plan all year.

Peak season travel without the heat, the crowds, or the chaos. Reach out, and let's find the right one for you.

Wellness travel has changed. The best wellness trips today are designed around how you actually want to feel when you come home.

For some clients, it's a full immersion: Ayurvedic programs in Sri Lanka, thermal circuits in Iceland, or a dedicated retreat in Tuscany. For others, it's more woven in: morning yoga in Bali, a hammam in Morocco, a long hike in the Swiss Alps, followed by a serious dinner.

A few things I always build into wellness itineraries: spa programs rooted in local culture, not just a massage menu. Outdoor movement that actually connects you to where you are. Culinary wellness: farm-to-table dining and cooking classes that treat food as part of the restoration. And mindfulness is built into the schedule rather than squeezed in.

If you're thinking about a trip centered around how you feel, not just where you go, I'd love to help design it.

Truffle hunting with trained dogs in the morning. Strolls through Tuscan vineyards in the afternoon. Tableside tiramisù at dinner inside a medieval castle. That's a Tuesday at Castelfalfi.

It covers everything Tuscany does well in one place. Five restaurants, including La Rocca inside the original castle. A RAKxa spa with both indoor and outdoor pools. Falconry experiences, a cooking class with the executive chef, and a beekeeping session with the resident beekeeper that ends with a honey tasting.

The estate produces its own wine, olive oil, and wildflower honey, all available to taste and take home. San Gimignano is 30 minutes away, and Volterra is 35, so it works well as a base for the wider region too.

If Italy has been on your travel wish list, this is one of the most interesting places to build the trip around. Get in touch to learn more.

Some destinations stay under the radar for years. Then a few new hotels open, the experience starts to elevate, and suddenly everyone is paying attention.

Our advice? Go before that happens. Right now, these are the places we’re watching closely:

Puglia, Italy: White villages, olive groves, and a coastline that still feels relaxed compared to the Amalfi Coast. Four Seasons is set to open a major beachfront resort here, and other luxury brands are beginning to follow.

Okinawa: Japan’s subtropical island chain feels completely different from Tokyo or Kyoto. Clear water, island culture, and a slower pace. Luxury brands like Rosewood and other high-end resorts are expanding across the islands, bringing a new level of accommodation to the region.

Laos: Often described as the quieter side of Southeast Asia, Laos offers Buddhist temples, riverside towns like Luang Prabang, and a slower, more immersive pace. Luxury hotels are beginning to reinvest in the destination, with Aman and other boutique operators elevating the experience without changing its character.

These places are already on many people's radar but they're not overcrowded like some destinations. Experiencing them now is part of the magic. Get in touch to find out more [email protected]
