The Messenger of Allāh (pBUH) said, “The area between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens of Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhārī)

Imam Ibn Ḥajr Al-Asqalānī (may Allāh’s mercy be with him) elaborates on the meaning of “Rawḍah – Garden of Paradise” as either one of the following;

1. The area is similar to paradise in being peaceful and blessed.

2. Worship at this location will lead one into paradise.

3. This piece of land will be transferred to paradise.

(Fatḥ Al-Bārī)

One should locate the ‘Rawḍah’ at the Prophet’s mosque and perform prayers, supplications, articulate words of glorification (tasbīḥ) and praises of the Almighty, make istighfār (seeking forgiveness), tawbah (repentance) and express gratitude.

(Al-Masālik Fī Al-Manāsik)

Dua for when you start your journey.

Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar,

subḥaan-alladhee sakhkhara lanaa haadhaa wa maa kunnaa lahu muqrineen, wa innaa ilaa rabbinaa la munqaliboon,

Allaahumma innaa nas’aluka fee safarinaa haadhal-birra wat-taqwaa, wa minal-‛amali maa tarḍaaa,

Allaahumma hawwin ‛alaynaa safaranaa haadhaa waṭwi ‛annaa bu‛dah,

Allaahumma antaṣ-ṣaaḥibu fis-safar, wal-khaleefatu fil-ahl,

Allaahumma innee a‛oodhu bika min wa‛thaa’-is-safar, wa ka’aabat-il-manẓari, wa soo’-il-munqalabi fil-maali wal-ahl

O Allah, we ask You for birr and taqwaa in this journey of ours, and we ask You for deeds which please You. O Allah, facilitate our journey and let us cover its distance quickly. O Allah, You are The Companion on the journey and The Successor over the family, O Allah, I take refuge with You from the difficulties of travel, from having a change of hearts and being in a bad predicament, and I take refuge in You from an ill fated outcome with wealth and family.

Alhumdulilah, Ustadh Imran Asif will be joining our group Umrah as one of the religious tour guides.

Ustad Imran Asif was born and raised in the UK however, he has lived, studied and worked both in KSA and Qatar.

He studied at Queen Mary University of London and followed this higher studies at the University of Oxford where he gained a PGCE, PGDES and later a Master's Degree.

He has an experienced background in education and has worked as a Physics teacher and more recently as an educational consultant. While aboard he had the opportunity to study under various Islamic Scholars in a range of topics. He is also very well known and still active in the London dawah scene, delivering the Friday Khutbahs in various Masajid.

Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) returned from a journey and observed the walls of Madinah, he would make his Mount go fast, and if he was on an animal (i.e. a horse), he would make it gallop because of his love for Madinah.

Alhumdulilah, Imam Musa Abuzaghleh will be joining our group Umrah as one of the religious tour guides.

Imam Musa Abuzaghleh began studying the Qur’an at a young age in Jordan, he received first place in a number of Qur’an competitions throughout his childhood. He then moved on to study under various sheikhs before finally finishing his Ijazah in Hafs An Asim from his teachers Shaikh Asad Salih and Shaikh Galal Salem.

He has been teaching Quran from the age of 16 and he has written his own syllabus of Tajweed, which he collected from a number of his teachers and books. Sheikh Musa presents shows on Islam Channel where he also teaches his syllabus of Tajweed. He holds various classes in different mosques and he also leads taraweeh in both the UK and abroad.

He is currently studying the ten Qira'at and is also the founder of AL FURQAAN INSTITUTE, an online platform for students to learn and perfect their understanding of the Quran. He is also the Imam at West London Islamic Centre (WLICC), at Parsons Green, Fulham.
