My daughter (Jasmine) and I had a wonderful time at Battersea Power Station garden yesterday. Open for visitors courtesy of London Open Gardens. It was magical.
Looking forward to next year already!

Battersea Roof Gardens is one of London’s largest residential roof gardens, spanning 29,000f? and planted with 23,000 plants and 55 trees. Designed by internationally renowned landscape architect James Corner of Field Operations, and delivered by the multi-award winning LDA Design, the residential rooftop garden offers inspiring views of the adjacent power station and the London skyline, and follows the unique undulations of the Foster + Partners designed building on which it sits.
Perennial planting changes through the seasons, creating a vibrant, ever-changing backdrop to the neighbouring power station. The green and yellow of Euphorbia sits next to tall, violet-blue spires of Perovskia adding structure and drama, whilst encouraging bees and butterflies. In May and June, light and dark purple Alliums stand proud, followed by clusters of sea holly and slender, long-flowering mauve Verbena, all set against a backdrop of green and gold grasses, including Deschampsia, Helicotrichon and Sesleria.
Nestled inside the planting is a series of spaces for seating where neighbours can congregate and socialise, including a generous ‘community dining table’.
Wooden loungers are the perfect spot to soak up the sun.

Taking a group on a private walk around the City this evening when we came across the Guards leaving Guildhall. What a treat! They were there as Dame Susan Langley - the 697th Lord Mayor, and first to use the title Lady Mayor - hosted German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for a state banquet.

A Remembrance Sunday private walk with a wonderful group. We visited some unusual war memorials as well as the Cenotaph and the wonderful Battle of Britain memorial… a fitting tribute to the brave pilots of WWII.

Saw the production of Emilia at LAMDA last night. What a performance! It was entertaining, enlightening, very moving and full of the most fantastic energy. The costumes were superb, the stage lighting and set brilliant. All the cast were outstanding- obviously I’m biased as my amazing daughter was Emilia three and gave the performance of her life. Breathtaking. Well done Sera!!! ❤️💕
