Day 2 | Gandhara & Northern Trail
We spent the morning exploring the incredible Taxila Museum, home to thousands of Gandharan Buddhist statues, relics, coins, inscriptions and everyday objects excavated from ancient sites across the valley — a true window into history.

After travelling along the Grand Trunk Road, we reached Attock Khurd (1908) and witnessed the stunning confluence of the Attock and Indus Rivers. Our gracious hosts, Brigadier & Mrs. Asim Nawaz, welcomed us into their ancestral riverside home where we enjoyed authentic regional cuisine and a peaceful walk through olive, peach and cherry plantations.

We concluded our journey in Peshawar, the vibrant capital of KPK, with a serene evening at the home of Dr. Amir Bilal and Dr. Tahira Nishtar — a couple whose grace and dedication truly inspired us.

Saniya’s Cultural Express Northern Trail Day 1 🇵🇰✨

SCE’s Ghandhara Trail began in the Capital City Islamabad — a perfect blend of serenity and culture. Islamabad offers the breathtaking views of Margalla Hills! We set out to explore iconic Faisal Mosque built in 1986. Lok Virsa Heritage Museum built in 1982 showcases rich, cultural history of Pakistan. Our thanks to Mrs. Siddika Malik, Chairperson of Indus Heritage Trust kindly hosted lunch at her residence. Ambassador of Spain, H.E. Jose A. de Ory 🇪🇸 had kindly organised a welcome dinner for SCE Group.

Lahore Museum 🇵🇰 has an exquisite 17th Century A.C.E Marble Plaque depicts holiest scene of Jaina site of Satrunjiya in Kathiawar, Gujrat (India). This unique plaque was originally a votive offering by some pilgrims to Jain Temple of Gujranawala, Pakistan. Later it was made part of Lahore Museum and the entire painting follows typical Rajisthana style.
