Wednesday's flash floods in the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts have caused terrible loss of life, and search efforts are still under way.

For anyone asking: our programmes are not located in the affected areas. All current participants and our local team are safe and accounted for, and we are in daily contact with our partners on the ground.

To everyone in — the families, the volunteers, the rescue teams — we are thinking of you. 🇳🇵

Turtle Tickers are just back from our Turtle Conservation Program in Sri Lanka — hatchery mornings, beach cleanups, night patrols, and the moment that makes everyone emotional: watching hatchlings make their run to the ocean.

In this video they share the honest version — what a volunteer day actually looks like, where you stay, what surprised them, and what they'd say to anyone still thinking about it.
