Tucked quietly within the rolling greenery of Greenwich Park lies a tree with a story older than the city that surround it.
They call it Queen Elizabeth 's Oak _ though truth be told, it was already ancient when Elizabeth I was young.
Legend has it that the young princess once played beneath its branches, long before crowns, court politics, and the weight of history found her. Back then, it wasn't a monument. Just a tree. Just a girl. Just a quiet moment in the shade. 🌿
Centuries passed. Storms came and went. Kingdoms shifted. London grew louder, faster, heavier. And the oak... slowly hollowed, time carving it from the inside out.
Today, it no longer stands tall. Instead, it rests _ held up gently, like a relic that refused to disappear. A fallen giant still telling stories.
And if you visit, you might feel it _that strange stillness around it. As if the park itself lowers its voice.
Because this isn't just a tree.
It’s a reminder that even in a city always rushing forward, some things remain...rooted in memory.
And somewhere in the quiet, you can almost imagine laughter echoing through the leaves. Long before history was written.

On this day, 20th March 1966, London woke up to a mystery.

Just months before the 1966 FIFA World Cup was set to begin, the gleaming Jules Rimet Trophy—football’s most coveted prize—vanished.

It had been on display at Westminster, guarded… but not enough.

Somewhere between admiration and arrogance, a thief slipped through, leaving behind an empty case and a city buzzing with disbelief. How could something so iconic simply disappear?

For seven days, London held its breath. Rumours spread. Ransoms were demanded. The police chased shadows.
And then, in the most unexpected twist, the hero emerged—not a detective, but a dog. 🐶

Pickles, a black-and-white mongrel, sniffed out a parcel wrapped in newspaper, hidden beneath a hedge in South London. Inside it? The missing trophy! 🏆

No grand heist ending. No dramatic arrest. Just a wagging tail on a walk thinking "this smells important!"

Let’s be honest—Pickles did in a few minutes what an entire police force couldn’t do in a week. Absolute legend!! 🐕🕵️‍♀️

Either way, for one strange week in 1966, the fate of world football rested in the paws of Pickles.

London, it seems, has always had a flair for the unexpected.

Some days in London, the skyline simply disappears.

The towers of Canary Wharf rise confidently into the sky—until the fog gently erases their crowns. Glass, steel, and clouds blend together, turning the city into something almost dreamlike.

Moments like this remind us that London is never the same city twice. One morning it’s sharp and bright, the next it’s soft, mysterious, and hidden in mist. ☁️🏙️
Do you enjoy London’s foggy, atmospheric mornings, or do you prefer the skyline on a clear sunny day? 🌫️☀️

📍Cyberdog is one of London’s most iconic alternative fashion stores, located in Camden Market. Known for its futuristic, cyberpunk aesthetic, it sells bold clothing, platform boots, neon accessories, rave wear, and sci-fi inspired outfits. 👽
The shop itself feels like a nightclub-meets-space-station, with loud music, glowing lights, and performance-style displays. It’s not just a place to shop — it’s an immersive experience and a landmark of London’s underground fashion scene.🎧🎶✨🚀
