From Sweden 🇸🇪 to Norway 🇳🇴 to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿…what an incredible trip experiencing wonderful destinations on a beautiful ship with a lovely group of luxury travel professionals.

A great couple of days visiting the Orkney Islands and Aberdeen, before disembarking in Edinburgh and being welcomed by Scotland’s National Piper…just amazing ☀️

Egersund is a cosy town with a population of around 15,000. With historic wooden houses and a beautiful centre with numerous niche shops, it was a delight to walk around. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom too 🌸

With so much food being eaten on board Le Bellot, a long and steep hike to the highest viewing point in Egersund was very much welcome!

Arendal is a coastal town in Southern Norway famed for its buzzing city centre and idyllic archipelago.

⛄️❄️⛄️

It’s also the city who gave its name to the Kingdom of ‘Arendelle’ in the Disney movie Frozen.

We were sweetly welcomed into the port by local children who performed ‘Let it Go’ for us - what a treat! See stories for more.

It was great to get out and explore the mix of charming and modern architecture of this town by foot.

The Arendal archipelago is also great for stand up paddleboarding (SUP), boat trips, underwater safaris and swimming.

By choosing an itinerary and a smaller ship like this, it enables you to visit quaint little towns that you might otherwise not have seen, as the ship is able to dock into smaller ports.

My first time trip to Oslo has left such a lasting impression I will definitely be coming back!

🇳🇴

Commonly known as the ‘green city’ due to its abundance of parks and gardens, Oslo features 212 open-air exhibition as well as 80 hectares of Vigeland sculpture parks.

Within such a short space of time (20-30 mins) you can escape the city should you wish, to ski or to explore the countryside.

⛷️

We visited Holmenkollen, which goes 500m above sea level and is well known for international skiing competitions - just the view from the hill to get there is worth the trip alone!

🏞️

We enjoyed a guided tour and walked through the Vigeland Sculpture Park - the history and story behind all of the sculptures (which, in a nutshell is about the life cycle) was both fascinating and sightly crazy. The whole experience was deeply moving and I have never known anything quite like it!

Aside from greenery, the city is also home to the Munch Museum which is dedicated to the life and works of world renowned Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (whose painting The Scream is one of the most iconic paintings in modern art), plus the Akershus fortress which symbolises Oslo’s rich history.

After a very scenic arrival into Gothenburg we made it to this beautiful super yacht!

Le Bellot is a sleek and modern vessel in Ponant’s fleet and the interiors are both French and Scandanavian in design - subtle and classy!

The food so far has been delicious with a huge a la carte offering from sushi to Norwegian Salmon to pastries (and the presentation has been totally on point..see stories for more)!

Had a brilliant afternoon exploring Gothenburg and the enchanting cobblestone streets of Haga, where artisan shops and quaint cafes are on every corner ☕️

Named after Sultan Ahmed Shah, who founded the city in 1411, it is the largest city in the state of Gujarat in western India.

My clients are currently enjoying a tailor-made sentimental trip I’ve planned for them, with visits to Sabarmati Ashram, which houses Gandhi's living quarters and a range of historic artefacts, to the fascinating Calico Museum of Textiles, which showcases an impressive range of antique and modern fabrics and is considered the best textile museum in the world.

Ahmedabad has a thriving textile industry, and is the second-largest producer of cotton in India.

They’ll stay in an elegantly-restored heritage boutique property, that has charming courtyards and verandas where they can enjoy delicious Thalis 😋

They will also step back in time visiting the Adalaj Stepwell, an intricate and stunning five-storey deep structure built in 1499 in the quiet village of Adalaj.

They’ll go on to Rajkot where they will experience the culture and ethnic richness of Saurashtra and Kathiawari culture.

The next part of their trip is truly special for them, with memories of childhood in Porbandar, a charming city known for its beaches, bird sanctuaries and the Temple of Fame - also known as Kirti Mandir, a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
