the is something that everyone has dreamt about at some point. I've learnt from my that it has the ability to change your in the most ways, if you can inspire yourself to go further you will learn so much along the way. Here's my 10 reasons why you should travel the world.

- You'll make friends in every you step foot in

Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it, being connected to other cultures and people from all over the world? Not only will you have more friends around the globe to keep in touch with, but you will also have people happy to let you stay at theirs when you next get itchy feet. You'll have the opportunity to visit their home turf and see their city and way of life like no other tourist would. They’ll want to show you their world, and luckily for you, you'll get to see it through the eyes of the locals.

- Travelling builds character and makes you wiser and open to more

The more you see, the more you’ll realize how the world really works. Authentic experiences of cultures and people really will open your mind to endless possibilities. You can always read about the wonders of the world in your history books, but picture yourself standing in front of one... this alone is a perfect reason to travel the world.

- Breaking the ice with new people becomes easier

There's nothing worse than being the person who can't make friends at work or talk to people at parties. However, when you travel you become a story teller and stories you will have to tell. When you travel you have something in common with everyone and it's easy to find common ground. Trade stories, give advice, spread the word.

-Expand your horizon

Sometimes we have prejudices against other people or other countries, simply just because we don't understand them. Travelling will wipe these thoughts away. When you explore another country, you touch base with their culture and start to understand why they do certain things or act in a certain way. Take all the opportunities where you can immerse yourself into these cultures and truly walk in another person's shoes. One of the best things I've found when travelling is that strangers are more often than not willing to help when you ask them for it.

-Live in the now

Travelling gives you the chance to enjoy living in the moment, not dwelling on the past, or predicting the future. You'll appreciate just living in the here and now. If you want to stay in a country a few extra days, why not? Just do it. If you want to stay out until early hours of the morning, do it. Learn to live in the moment and make every opportunity count. When you come back home you'll be thankful that you completely went for it.

- Experience new foods

You just can't beat it. It might look, smell, feel or taste disgusting but suck it up and eat it. You left home for new experiences, make sure you're doing that. There's nothing worse than travelling thousands of miles from home to taste the familiar. Speak to locals and find out how they cook certain dishes, what ingredients they use and why. Get them to write it down on a piece of paper, don't just stick it on your instagram stories and be done, learn the tricks of the trade and appreciate new flavours from around the world.

- Happiness

Travelling makes people happier. This is because your mind is challenged, stretched, and you experience much more than you would in a standard 9 to 5. Just be prepared for the post-travel blues... good thing is you can always book another trip!

- Learn new languages

Okay, you may only learn a few phrases, or a simple please and thank you, or where is the bathroom? You might not be fluent in their language but it shows you're willing to learn and try and this goes a long way in a foreign country. Locals will appreciate you a lot more because you're wanting to know more about them and interact with them on a different level. No-one will laugh at you trying to speak in a different language, learn to break the barrier in a world trying to build walls.

- Discover your inner self-confidence

Travelling can be scary at first, especially when you arrive in a new country by yourself but believe us, you will get used to the people and the culture very quickly. You will adapt quicker than you ever thought and when you return home you can be super proud of who you've become and the fact that you did it all by yourself.

- You don't want to regret never doing it.

A house can wait, a degree can wait, a car can wait, travelling might not be able to wait, don't live to regret not doing it.

8 Reasons You Need to Visit Right now.

1. You can visit Ko Phi Phi Le Island where the movie “The Beach” was filmed with Leonardo Dicaprio
This uninhabited island offers sandy white beaches, stunning cliffs and crystal clear blue water that will take your breath away. You will feel like you are living in a dream.

2. Your money goes a long way in Thailand
Hotels, food and clothing are all beyond affordable. What you might pay for a beach side hotel in the U.S. is likely half the price in Thailand and food from the local village and street vendors can be as cheap as a $1 for a meal.

3. The people in Thailand are incredibly friendly
Thailand is not called the “Land of Smiles” for nothing; the natives are kind, happy and willing to help you when you are lost. It’s a country that welcomes tourism, but doesn’t bother its tourists.

4. Thai food will rock your world
You haven’t experienced real Thai food until you’ve had it in Thailand. Not only is it affordable, but it’s delicious. There are a variety of options and, if you’re lucky, you might even be able to pick out your own fresh crab or lobster to eat from the tank. Ask the locals what they recommend and without a doubt you will be more than satisfied. Just note that their idea of spicy is as close to a fireball in your mouth as possible, so order mild.

5. Phuket is the true paradise island of Thailand
Beach fans, scuba divers, snorkelers and watersport enthusiasts have just found their dream vacation spot. Additionally, the incredible and multi-colored sunsets are a sight not to be missed. Khao Phra Thaew National Park, a rainforest with protected wildlife, is also a treasure of Phuket that offers great hiking trails and waterfalls.

6. Bangkok is a cultural Mecca
This cosmopolitan city, the largest and capital of Thailand, highlights the heritage and nightlife of the Thai culture with floating markets, temples, local cuisine and rooftop bars. The Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn are must-sees to add to your list. You will never run out of thing to do in Bangkok.

7. Full Moon parties
A full moon party is an all-night beach party that started in Haad Rin on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand that is thrown on the night of, before or after every full moon. These famous parties boast of great music, glow in the dark body paint and intense dancing with thousands of people.

8. Thailand’s location is ideal for a traveler
You might take awhile to get to Thailand, but once you are there everywhere is just around the corner. You can grab a flight and in just four hours be in Bali, three hours to Hong Kong, two hours to Singapore and it is half way between Australia and Europe. It’s the perfect place to start or end a travel adventure.

Why Tourist like to visit ?

In 1986 the small town of Otorohanga in New Zealand changed its name to Harrodsville. This was a nod to 's biggest department store, Harrods, but the nod was not a friendly one. On hearing that Otorohanga businessman Henry Harrod had had the audacity to name his business Harrod's Family Restaurant, then-owner of the London Harrods, Mohamed Al-Fayed, let fly with legal threats. Otorohanga's answer was to change the name of every single one of its business enterprises to Harrods — sticking up two solid gold digits to the Egyptian mogul.
The 'Harrodsville' gambit worked; Al-Fayed was made a laughing stock and the threats were dropped. But the story perhaps sums up many Londoners' perception of the department store — a louche palace for the bolshy, where money talks and the hoi polloi can go do one. Yet Harrods is a London institution too. And when it bears the motto Omnia Omnibus Ubique (All Things for All People, Everywhere), can it really be such a bad place?
