September 1666.

London was burning.

For days, the Great Fire swept through the City, destroying thousands of homes, businesses and churches.

Even old St Paul's Cathedral was lost.

When the flames finally died down, London faced an extraordinary question:
How do you rebuild a city?

Enter Sir Christopher Wren.

Wren imagined an ambitious new London of broad avenues and grand spaces. His complete vision was never built — but what followed would transform the City's skyline for centuries:
