London

Our beautiful Capital City.

It may be a while before we can travel internationally but that doesn't stop us from exploring slightly closer to home.

As soon as we are out of these restrictions, I cannot wait to take the kids up to London for the day. It's been almost 10 months since I did the commute to work. I didn't think I would miss it but I really do. I miss the buzz, the skyline and the little bit of me time I used to get en route to the office.

London, I miss you but it won't be forever.

Just breathtaking.

A visit is an astounding visual experience and the power and noise of the falls will live in your memory forever.

The falls lie between Argentina and Brazil in a large expanse of national park.

Let's make 2021 a year to remember ❀

Where is your dream destination?

INCREDIBLE DESTINATIONS.

Imagine seeing your reflection here.

The stunning Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia are high on my bucket list. Maybe it's the 20 year old geography student in me?!?! 🀣

Cancelled flights πŸ™ˆ

Sometimes it goes to plan and sometimes it doesn't.

So, like many others, most of our 2020 trips have been cancelled. I've been relatively optimistic that 2021 will be a much better year for travel. We've moved some trips from this year, as well as booking some new adventures and I can't wait to get on a plane again.

Today I logged onto the easyjet app to double check the dates for our summer holiday 2021 and they have been CANCELLED. We've not received an email yet notifying us of this so you can imagine my surprise! We aren't due to travel for 8 months but I'm guessing the less profitable flight routes are being cut next year. We were supposed to be going to Corsica and unfortunately there aren't any other direct flights from London so its time to re-think our plans.

We like to explore new places so I'm keen to avoid anywhere we have previously been. It's time to do what I love the most and get planning again.

We aren't looking for an all inclusive holiday as we prefer to explore a place, so would like a good selection of restaurants and bars, combined with some activities for the kids to do. If anyone has any suggestions for a family holiday, please let me know!

I think 2021 will be all about flexibility. If the last year has taught me anything it's that plans can change but there's no need to stress. There will always be an alternative flight/hotel/destination and it's time to embrace our freedom again πŸ’•

Who fancies a walk on Giant's Causeway?

This beautiful geological formation in Northern Ireland is absolutely magical. If you are looking for a spectator setting, steeped in myths and legends, the Giant's Causeway has it all. ❀

Dreaming of relaxing in here.

We should have been flying here tomorrow but 2020 had other plans. However, let's look forward and make 2021 the best year ever!

I hope this incredible oasis of relaxation in the heart of the Icelandic Landscape, inspires you to start planning those 2021 adventures.

Who will you take with you?

3rd time lucky! 🀞

I booked to take my hubbie to Slovenia for his 40th Birthday in July 2019. Unfortunately, just as we were boarding the plane, our flight was cancelled due to problems with air traffic control πŸ™ˆ. As it was only a short trip, we decided to rebook for July 2020... and unsurprisingly, it was cancelled this year too! I've rebooked again for July 2021, let's hope its 3rd time lucky!

We are flying into Ljubljana and then will explore the surrounding area. I can't wait to visit Lake Bled, it's been on my bucket list for ages! There is an amazing castle, called Predjama Castle and the most incredible cave just a short drive away from the City. Postojna cave is also home to the coolest train ever! (Check out the pics!) I think it's safe to say, this is one City break that the kids will love ❀❀❀

Parga, Greece

One of our favourite places in Greece. Parga, is absolutely beautiful. Colourful houses built on the slopes of a mountain boasting a breathtaking view of the sea, gorgeous beaches with turquoise waters and a wonderful natural landscape.

We stay on Valtos Beach, a short walk from Parga Town or you can jump on the water taxi. There are watersports galore on the beach for those adrenaline seekers and several boat trips if you would like to explore the neighbouring islands. My fav trip is to Paxos and AntiPaxos combined with a stop at the Blue caves, it's such a gorgeous day out and I first did it with the kids when they were 2 and 4. They loved it!

Let's hope the world is a little more normal soon and we can visit again in June!
