When a song comes on the radio, and suddenly you’re in early 1980s Sri Lanka… 🎶🌴
Duran Duran filmed Save a Prayer here back then. We’ve always loved the scenes at the old New Oriental Hotel in Galle (👇 comments for 🔗 to its fascinating history). Though the hotel has since taken on a new life as the rather-grand Amangalla, the ancient cultural sites remain much as they were. Temples, fort walls, palm-fringed shores…and that unmistakable light. Take a Tell Tale trip to Sri Lanka, and hopefully you’ll be just as enthralled as Simon, Nick, John, Andy & Roger!

We love this video from Time Out Bangkok — Yaowarat in Bangkok’s Chinatown is one of our favourite places. And at this time of year, it is wonderfully atmospheric with lanterns overhead, sizzling street food, red and gold everywhere. Great news from Heathrow Airport today. ✈️
You no longer need to separate liquids from your bags when going through security.
Heathrow isn't the first UK airport to make the change, but it is the biggest. As well as making journeys a little easier for travellers, Heathrow estimates this will remove nearly 16 million single-use plastic bags from use every year. 🌿
