When a song comes on the radio, and suddenly you’re in early 1980s Sri Lanka… 🎶🌴
Duran Duran filmed Save a Prayer here back then. We’ve always loved the scenes at the old New Oriental Hotel in Galle (👇 comments for 🔗 to its fascinating history). Though the hotel has since taken on a new life as the rather-grand Amangalla, the ancient cultural sites remain much as they were. Temples, fort walls, palm-fringed shores…and that unmistakable light. Take a Tell Tale trip to Sri Lanka, and hopefully you’ll be just as enthralled as Simon, Nick, John, Andy & Roger!

We love this video from Time Out Bangkok — Yaowarat in Bangkok’s Chinatown is one of our favourite places. And at this time of year, it is wonderfully atmospheric with lanterns overhead, sizzling street food, red and gold everywhere.
