Okinawa has a bit of a reputation.

It’s one of the world’s Blue Zones, where people are known for living long, healthy lives.

But once you start learning about the island, it’s easy to see why.

The pace of life. The connection to nature. The sense of community.

Not a bad place for a yoga retreat, really eh ? 😉

🛖 This is what living nomadically in Mongolia feels like.

Remote. Off-grid. Miles from the noise and rush of everyday life.

Days that ebb between movement and stillness — long stretches immersed in proper wild places.

Evenings under big, star-splashed skies.

This is a typical day on our Mongolia yoga adventure.

🙋‍♀️ Hands up if you’d happily disappear into this way of life for a while.

🔗 A few Mongolia retreat spots remain this July.
Comment NOMAD and we’ll send you details.

— you’ve only gone and done it again. This is what wellness is actually about 👏 👏 👏

Bit emosh that our six-week collab is over. Spending Saturdays in with the Slomo gang has felt like a little home from home. Such a welcoming, cosy vibe. Just good humans doing good things ❤️

We loved watching people come through the doors each Saturday…all body shapes, backgrounds, genders, ages. Yoga, saunas, chats. Warming up, opening up. Old faces, new faces. It felt like a real, organic little wellness community.

Not “wellness-as-aesthetic”. Just proper, unpretentious, accessible wellbeing — done with heart. A testament to the Slomo dream team and to for their vision ✨

Chuffed to have been part of it, and so happy to see spaces like this thriving — where everyone feels like they belong.

This collab is over but we are so excited for what’s next together — see you in Nepal this November 🤍

BIG HURRAY MOMENT! We’ve been featured in National Geographic Travel's Best Wellness Experiences in the World ✨

Spending time in extraordinary places, slowing things down and coming back to basics, can really shift how you feel and how you see things — and Mongolia is one of those places that stays with you, quietly reminding you what it means to be human. We’re so lucky to work alongside brilliant local families and teams there to create experiences that feel this meaningful. This one’s a thank you to them too ❤️

Pop the kettle on and have a read ☕

And if it sparks something and you’re curious about coming with us this year, we do have a few spots left — just comment and we’ll share the details 🇲🇳

P.S. ✍ Big thanks to Jane Dunford for capturing our Mongolia retreat so beautifully!

Seaweed bathing in Ireland, a trek through Africa’s first designated wilderness quiet park—we asked National Geographic staff and contributors for their favorite places to escape the stress and noise of the world. Here are their picks.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Absolutely amazing to be able to go on a retreat in such a beautiful location and not have to think about a SINGLE THING. Everything was arranged, communication was excellent, and I knew exactly what to expect. The yoga was fantastic and I was really able to focus on the experience. Honestly one of a kind and the sustainability and working with local people really added to the experience. Will definitely be going again!”

📸 MASSIVE shoutout to Melissa for the awesome words, and photos from Iceland this year 🤗

🥾 It’s happening! Yoga + mountains + wilderness. Patagonia 2026… you coming?

After two epic retreats in Patagonia this month, we can’t wait to return next October! And we’re bringing with us for her first Patagonia yoga adventure.

⛰️ Join us for a week of yoga, hiking and wellness in one of the most extraordinary landscapes on Earth — granite towers at sunrise, cobalt-blue lakes, ancient forests, and glaciers so vast they make you feel teeny tiny (in the best way).

Here’s the plan:
• Stay at a mountain ranch in Los Glaciares National Park
• Daily yoga to bookend your adventures
• Guided hikes with a local ranger
• Laguna de los Tres & Fitz Roy
• Time to switch off, read, wander, breathe
• Travel to El Calafate for the final adventure
• Sail past cool-blue icebergs and meet the Perito Moreno Glacier up close

And the yoga?

Mornings begin with slow, strong vinyasa — steady breath, intentional movement, just the right amount of challenge before we hit the trails.
Late afternoons settle into grounding Restorative practice to let the body rest and soak up the day.

Patagonia is ridiculous — in the best possible way. We can’t wait to share it with you.

Are you in?

📅 24–31 October 2026

Honesty > perfection, right?

It’s easy to hide behind the right words. But we’d rather stay honest, even when the picture isn’t perfect.

“Doing good” doesn’t fit neatly into a spreadsheet. It’s messy — full of trade-offs, compromises, and lessons we’re still figuring out as we go.

On that note: our 2024 Impact Report is almost ready. We’re putting the finishing touches on it — and it shows the real numbers, the lessons, and the bits we’re still working on (because there’s always more to do).

Trick or (re)treat? 👻

Some retreats have their moments that feel a bit like a trick — cold plunges, early starts, compost loos. Experiences that push you, just enough to wake you up again.

But that’s the beauty of it: the trick is the treat.

Push through the discomfort and you find what you came for –feeling alive again.

No ghosts, just goosebumps 😉
