It’s local and unassuming; It lacks glamour yet has ambience; it is pricey yet not unreasonably so; it serves the finest Italian food in London.

Recently we returned for authentic, fresh, delicious Italian food - a starter of scallops on an outstanding bed of pea purée - accompanied by a perfectly chilled bottle of C’a del Bosco.

For Nota Bene, it’s all about when you go, where you stay and dine and how everything is curated.

Three years after the opening, and with Covid/closure in the interim, we decided to revisit Heckfield Place this past weekend.

The gardens have matured, the cuisine impressive, they serve a perfect glass of Billecart-Salmon Rose Champagne and there are some beautifully appointed suites - within a 45 minute drive from Heathrow.
