Size matters... especially at Stonehenge! 🪨🪨
As a tourist guide, I've stood next to plenty of impressive landmarks—but during yesterday's sunset I decided to settle one of life's great mysteries: How do I measure up against Stonehenge?
First, the bluestone. Imported from the Preseli Hills in Wales, these stones travelled around 150 miles (240 km) 5,000 years ago. They may be the "smaller" stones, but they still made me feel rather... compact!
Then came the mighty - 20 tonnes to 45 tonnes - sarsen stones erected here 4,500 years ago.
Towering above me, it's a good reminder how tiny we are in the Great scenes of time.
The real privilege, though, was joining an Inner Circle Experience. Standing among these ancient giants after the crowds left is something truly special. It's quiet, powerful and magical.
Even after hundreds of visits Stonehenge refuses to reveal all its secrets—which is probably why we keep coming back.
