St Lucia has a new luxury property on Reduit Beach and I got a sneak peek!

Sapphire Sands is a family owned beachfront villa retreat - one to three bedroom villas, each with its own butler, some with a private pool. Your own private space, but with access to all the amenities at the nearby Bay Gardens Resorts, the best of both worlds.

There’s an Asian Caribbean Fusion restaurant with waterfront views, an Ayurvedic spa, and direct access to one of St Lucia’s best beaches.

But the detail that caught my eye: before opening, 18 local Saint Lucian butlers were recruited and trained to their own standards. In a market where lots of properties import staff from elsewhere, that’s not as common as you’d think. It says a lot about how they intend to do things.

They’ve caught my attention - now who’s coming with me?

Drop me a message if you’d like to know more.

Cobblers Cove has long been one of my favourite hotels in the Caribbean. The little pink house, the pathway through the gardens filled with flowers, monkeys in the trees by the beach and striped umbrellas around the pool that make you feel like a 1950s movie star.

It has the feel of a golden era Caribbean retreat, intimate and charming, with five star service and dining, and absolutely no interest in being anything else. It has a devoted following for very good reason.

But chatting to Sam Godsal, one of the owners, over lunch in London last week gave me a completely different perspective on the place…

Sam shared some brilliant insider tips with me on the best rooms and spots in the hotel, including which row of suites to choose if shade matters to you (not the front), and her personal favourite, the Camelot suite, with its shady veranda and position in the Great House.

A few other things I hadn’t fully appreciated before talking to her: Joanna, the General Manager, is the first female luxury GM on the island. The Caribbean art collection throughout the hotel has been personally curated by Sam herself. And the hotel sits on one of the key hawksbill turtle nesting beaches in Barbados, the island with the largest hawksbill nesting population in the Caribbean, with over 600 females nesting annually. You can take the hotel boat out to swim with them.

The aesthetic is distinctive: very pink, very English country house, very specific. For the right client it’s completely perfect.

If you think that might be you, drop me a message.

Sir David Attenborough turns 100 today!
Nobody has done more to make people care about the natural world. He showed us what was there so we could protect it.

This footage is from Sepilok Orangatun centre in Borneo.

The best wildlife experiences don’t just show you nature, they fund its protection. Every trip I put together to see wildlife like this is chosen with that in mind.

Happy Birthday Sir and thank you!

I am wearing a red string bracelet and I cannot take it off until it falls off naturally. This is either very spiritual or very 2003 Madonna depending on your outlook…

It was given to me by Melita Koulmandas, the woman who in 2006 arrived by boat to a degenerated, rubbish-strewn island in Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago and bought it.

Before she built a single villa, she cleaned up the island, worked alongside local fishing communities, and helped establish Cambodia’s first marine protected area. The hotel, Song Saa Private Island, came later. The foundation came first.

I met her at a travel event recently and she is one of those people who makes you reassess what’s possible. The bead on the bracelet is hand-made ceramic, the thread is a Sai Sin - blessed by the local monks. A fellow travel advisor at the same event told me he’d been given one on a visit to the island. His lasted three years.

Song Saa is the kind of place I think about when people ask me why responsible travel matters. It’s not a compromise. It’s 24 hand-built villas above turquoise water, coral restoration with resident marine biologists, contemporary Khmer cuisine, and a team that is 95% Cambodian. B Corp certified. And a foundation that would keep running even if the hotel closed tomorrow.

That’s what getting it right actually looks like.

If Cambodia is on your list, or if this is the first time you’ve considered it, I’d love to help you plan something extraordinary. DM me or find me via the link in bio.

Still looking for your summer holiday? How about this one...

Grecotel LUXME Kos has just come through a stunning renovation, and the food alone would be reason enough to go. Fresh mezze, grilled fish, proper Greek flavours. The kind of lunch that turns into an afternoon.

This stunning five-star island escape caters to your family's every need whilst still managing to capture the essence of Greek island life.

Palm-filled gardens, six pools, six restaurants, a private beach and the unique Papaya Island with lazy river around it create a place where kids are happy and parents get to actually relax.

I've worked with Grecotel for years and we have a really close relationship, which means exclusive rates, transfers included, and as always a fully protected package.

Haven't booked your summer holiday yet? There's still time. Whether it's a Greek island or something else you're dreaming of — get in touch today via my DMs or the link in my bio.

My first women-only journey to Morocco is officially open for bookings. 🇲🇦

Morocco through HER eyes.

Six days. Small group. Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert - and so much more.

But this isn’t just a beautiful trip. There’s a thread running through it.

We’ll visit organisations that are changing lives for Moroccan women - through education, skills training and real independence. You’ll hear their stories directly. You’ll eat at their tables. You’ll leave knowing you’ve contributed to something that matters.

And in between? Souks, riads, a luxury desert camp, camel rides, henna, stargazing and very good food!

Join solo, with a friend, your sister or bring your mum. Places are limited - it’s a small group of like-minded women by design.💚

The trip is hosted on the ground by my colleague Pippa, a fellow Travel Counsellor, so you’re in brilliant hands from the moment you land.

Slide through for everything you need to know - then DM me or drop me an email and I’ll send you the full details.
