The Pantanal is one of the best places on Earth to see jaguars in the wild.

This vast South American wetland has an exceptionally high density of jaguars - particularly around the rivers of the northern Pantanal.

And these aren’t cats that are afraid of getting their paws wet. Jaguars are powerful swimmers, perfectly at home among the Pantanal’s rivers and wetlands, where their prey can include everything from capybaras and fish to caimans.

Seeing one emerge from the riverbank has to be one of South America’s ultimate wildlife moments. 🐆🌿
