Great for a day out exploring or a family break away. โฃ

This beautiful little village is seeped in history back to at least the 16th century. Sitting on the Moray Firth coast in northeast Scotland it was well known for its fishing and trade from their historic harbour which is believed to be the oldest on the Moray Firth. โฃ
โฃ
Portsoy is also known for its stone, Portsoy Marble. A stunning green and red serpentine rock once highly prized for its jewellery and decorative work. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the stone was polished and exported. โฃ
โฃ
Portsoy is now more famously known for its use of filming location for the very popular TV series, Peaky Blinders! โฃ
โฃ
The town attracts visitors for its love of community events and heritage. One of the most popular highlights is the annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival which celebrates maritime history with historic vessels, live music, crafts, food and drink, bringing thousands of visitors every summer. โฃ

If youโre holidaying in northeast Scotland, Portsoy is a highly recommended visit!
