Greece, you completely stole our hearts. 🇬🇷💙 A few snaps from a few of the destinations we travelled to.

Last year we were fortunate enough to spend three and a half weeks exploring—starting in the ancient streets of Athens and driving south, discovering a new favorite spot at every turn.

If you’re looking for the ultimate family friendly destination, this is it.

It wasn’t just the turquoise water or the ruins; it was:

Pre-kids, our holidays were measured in quiet mornings and tiny carry-ons. Post-kids? We were told to expect "survival mode."

​We’re here to tell you that luxury doesn't die when they’re born—it just needs a strategic upgrade. Our unforgettable day with Akis and Dominic from .dream.charter was the ultimate proof and a trip that we will cherish forever.

​We traded the crowded tourist ferries for a private day navigating the hidden, electric-blue coves of Paxos and Antipaxos. The "no-compromise" magic with the perfect guides who hold all the local knowledge but importantly were wonderful people to spend the day with.

​1. The Crowd-Free Factor: Akis and Dominic know this area like the back of their hand and took us to secret spots where the kids could jump into the crystal-clear sea without another boat in sight which we're sure will become core memories for them and get that love for adventure established. For us, putting the planning of the adventure into capable, knowledgeable locals removes so much stress and allows us to relax and enjoy the trip with the kids.

2. The Junior Captains: The highlight? The kids actually got to take the helm of the beautiful boat. Watching their confidence grow as they steered through the Ionian will forever be a special memory.

3. The Long Lunch: We dropped anchor at Mongonissi Beach for a world-class, authentic Greek feast. Fresh seafood, toes in the sand, and total relaxation. There is nothing quite like watching the kids play on the beach with a glass of cold rose in hand.

​This is what we mean by "The Third Way" of travel—where your style meets their needs. It wasn't just a boat trip; it was a masterclass in why you shouldn't wait for the kids to "grow up" to travel the way you love.

Back in 2009 we said ‘I do’ at Ironmongers’ Hall right here in the City of London. 🥂 Since then, the Square Mile has become the backdrop to our own personal history and daily working life.

​We’ve developed a very specific obsession: Bank-to-Boutique conversions. There is something so romantic about the weight of the history (and the literal marble!) in these buildings. From our past stays at the iconic Threadneedles (the old City Bank) to the grand halls we’ve explored since, we can't get enough of that ‘Old Money’ aesthetic.

​Tonight, for our anniversary, we’re heading to a brand new one in our home city: The Heritage City of London (The Derby). It’s a fresh Hilton Curio collection opening in yet another stunning former bank.

We were told we'd LOVE and it did not disappoint.

There as a family, there was plenty to do with the little ones from the Oceanária to the Museum of Modern Art. The kids loved the food in Lisbon, a day did not go past without eating copious amounts of Pastel De Natas!

There in August the weather was hot and the tourists plentiful so be prepared to queue for a while if you plan to go into attractions like the Balem Tower.

Public transport is excellent in the city and we took a mixture of underground and buses.

Our only change would have been to come back when the weather was slightly cooler and not in peak tourist season.

Whilst we bid farewell to we just can't wait to return and check in to the stunning today. Following on from such a fantastic stay before we knew it was the only hotel option for our upcoming trip. Take our word for it this hotel has serious rooftop appeal for both its stunning pool and its fabulous bar Mr Stork.
