And what a journey is was!

4-ish months - South East Asia then to Europe...

Bit of an update. For those of you that are not aware, Ranz returned to the homeland a couple of weeks ago. As you can see he's been living it up on the mountain, carving up the slopes and making the most of the winter weather.

I've been getting my solo travel on and so far have been through Romania(Bucharest and Brasov) and am now in Hungary. I am currently volunteering on a English Language Camp for Hungarians wanting to learn english. Most of the students are adult businessman and businesswoman. It's basically a total immersion english programme where we do activities like playing sports, board games as well as one on one conversations throughout the day for 5 whole days. On one hand I am helping them with learning english, but at the same time I am improving my conversation skills. My kiwi/hori accent seems to be giving them a good challenge haha. A really awesome group of people. In exchange for volunteering we get free accomodation in this castle out in the country side and free meals(which are a variety of delicious traditional Hungarian food) every day. I came into this not knowing what to expect but I am very glad that I took this opportunity to get out of my comfort zone.

Friday is our last day, and then I am still deciding what I will do next but I am thinking to stay in Budapest for a bit and maybe volunteer at a hostel, but I'm still trying to find a host. I have been offered a place in Croatia so if I dont find anything here then i'll probably cruise over to Croatia and then maybe, come back here later.

For those who are travelling and/or plan on travelling check out the workaway.info website which has lots of opportunities for volunteer work all over the world. It's costs a few dollars to sign up but its worth it. Everything from Language schools to Eco villages/farms and Hostels.

Gaaaahd dammit typical RnD fashion, we went to the wrong airport to catch our flight from Venice Italy to Paris, France. We had an 1.30mins to get to the right airport and public transport wouldn't have got us there in time, so we had to pay a £70 taxi to get us here Hahahaha.

Never the less, Italy you were such an amazing country and no doubt will be back these ways to re visit different cities.

Chur Whanau, this is a pikitia of us at the Colosseum. We have been in Rome for the last 4 days and it has been one hell of a time. We went on a 2 free walking tours where you can basically see everything in the city. Our tour guide was amazing and we learnt a lot about the Roman history. Romans were absolute geniuses when it came to engineering and our minds were totally blown away with some of the structures.

We also had a wicked night out doing the Highlander pub crawl, takes the cake with one of the best pub crawls we have done haha.

Now we are off to Florence today for a few days, so we are excited to see another Italian city.

Chur Whanau, me and the bro have linked back together here in Ibiza, Spain. Been here for 3 days and it's been absolutely crazy. Awesome party scene and we were blessed to have met some wicked people.
This here is Benji, he hosted us on our last night in Ibiza through couch surfing. One of the best guys you would come across, best hospitality. Share some stories and he made us food and gave us a couch to sleep on. Look forward to seeing you again my bro and thanks again.

Now we are on our way to the airport to catch our flight to Rome, Italy🙌

Chur Whanau!!
This is us tonight. Onit with Kendrick in London.

We made it to London Safe and sound after a bit of trouble at the customs border. Just that we hadnt booked any accomodation and stuff but we got it sorted.

We were hoping to find someone to stay with through friends or couchsurfing but nothing came through so were in a hostel for the night. Our first hostel since leaving Asia and damn the prices are crazy, especially for what you get. Hopefully we can find something for our next few days.

We had the meanest time in Amsterdam, especially since we got to meet up and stay with my cousins Heremaia and Natalie Harawira. On behalf of me and Ranz just want to say a biiig mihi aroha to the cuzzies for letting us crash with them. Checked out a few coffee shops, had a few awesome nights out and even got to see a Banksy Art exhibition. Such a beautiful city. Were all heading over to London together for a festival so still got a few days to turn up together!!

Made it to Amsterdam whanau. Thanks to Milly, we made contact through Couch Surfing and she just so happened to be driving from Cologne, Germany to Amsterdam on the same day we had planned on leaving Cologne. So she gave us a ride and it was definitely an entertaining 2 hour drive to say the least haha. Thanks again Milly😊

On route to Amsterdam today but need to give some love to these 2 amazing girls who gave us a bed to sleep to sleep on and a roof over head that was only meant to be for 2 nights, but turned in to 4 haha. Thank you's so much, can't express that enough!!
Cologne, Germany we thank you for our first taste of Europe. Such a beautiful city and we absolutely enjoyed our time here. Till next time. Churr
