How I turn an idea into reality!

My clients came to me with: ‘We want to explore Italy as a family before the kids leave for Uni. We know we want to experience culture, great food and some time by the sea - and a day trip to Pompeii is a must! - but we don’t know where to start.'

This is one of my favourite requests as I can use my experience, partner relationships and spend time researching the best route for them whilst ticking all of their boxes.

Naples and Amalfi coast is the logical starting point then they will be spending time in the lesser known parts of Campania, then onto Calabria (put it on your list, it is relatively untouched!) and finishing in Puglia flying from home from Bari. Some special touches including a private boat trip to Capri and private tour of Pompeii (of course!) also added in.

I had to factor in driving times, activity v relaxation and giving 4 different adults something each of them want from their holiday. I presented the itinerary this weekend so fingers x they love it!

Why Portugal is the perfect destination for every type of traveller

Some destinations ask you to choose between a city break and a beach holiday, culture and nature, or relaxation and adventure. Portugal makes it surprisingly easy to experience them all. Costa Rica, from coast to coast

There are many ways to experience Costa Rica - on foot through volcanic national parks, by boat through Caribbean canals, and around the kitchen table with people who've lived there their whole lives.

Today I wanted to showcase a fabulous 12-day National Geographic Signature journey from G Adventures which covers the full breadth, tracing a private route from the rainforest waterways of Tortuguero to the Pacific shores of Guanacaste.
