❤️ To all our lovely and loyal customers… ❤️
After 16 wonderful years here at Wickham Dry Cleaners, and over 50 years in the dry-cleaning trade, the time has finally come for us to hang up our hangers & retire! 🥹❤️
We think we’ve earned a slightly slower pace of life now & perhaps a little peace and quiet away from the Hoffman press, the counter and the sewing machine! 😂
We have absolutely loved our years serving the wonderful communities of Shirley, West Wickham and the surrounding areas.
Over the years, this little shop became so much more to us than simply a family business. It became our little social hub. ❤️
Coming to work wasn’t just about dry cleaning, alterations & pressing it was about seeing familiar faces, having a chat, sharing stories and, most importantly, building friendships along the way.
We’ve watched customers come in with babies & toddlers who are now at college, university or starting their working lives. We’ve known families whose children were at primary school when we first met them, and those same children are now parents themselves, taking their own little ones to school!
That’s what makes saying goodbye so bittersweet.
Some of the friendships we have made here will genuinely last a lifetime, and we cannot thank every single one of you enough for the kindness, friendship and loyalty you have shown us over all these years.
We will honestly miss you all so much. ❤️
Our final day at Wickham Dry Cleaners will be Friday 25th September.
But we are very happy to say that we’ll be handing the business over to a lovely family who are experienced dry cleaners with a great background, and we know they will continue to look after you all.
We wish them every success for the future and really hope that you’ll give them the same wonderful support and loyalty that you have given us over the years. ❤️
Our daughter Leyla is also hoping to arrange a little goodbye drink next door at The Shirley Inn probably on Saturday 26th September, for anyone who would like to come along, raise a glass and say goodbye! 🥂🍾
