Congratulations to Austria for being awarded the - one of Club Europe’s favourite ski resorts of all time.

Reaction as in Austria awarded in 3-way battle.

The list keeps changing but useful to know how this develops as we approach the ski season

Quarantine is now needed from Poland and Turkey from Saturday. All the ski countries in the Pyrenees, North America and many in the Alps are under the restrictions.

With restrictions and concerns around school ski trips still with us, we want to give our clients the chance to ski with their family in 2021. Our great value ski trip holidays are based in Covid-secure accommodation and include ski hire, ski school and all transfers.
We are offering special cancellation terms: If the FCDO advice is such that travel to your destination is forbidden in the lead up to your trip, then we will offer you an option to defer or if that is not possible, a full cash refund. Our ski holidays are based at the Jugendhotel Wurzenrainer and at the Jugendgästehaus Gottschallalm.

Today we’re ‘fanfaring’ Alison, our Senior Operations Manager ski! We asked Alison what life had been like, over the past few months…
The ski season obviously ended very abruptly this year with the cancellation or deferral of our Easter ski trips. It was so disappointing for everyone involved; not just us, but the children who were looking forward to their Alpine experience, and of course our suppliers whose season was cut short.
However, being mum to two teenagers kept me busy - prodding them awake by midday and supplying snacks as they did their online schoolwork. Thankfully, they are old enough to learn independently so that left me free to try a few other things, including beekeeping!
It has been our first summer with an active hive so we have literally been buzzing around. We had to make sure they didn’t swarm and keep them as disease-free as possible. But by the end of August we were able to harvest a really amazing 35 kilos of fragrant honey which we have bottled and decorated with our own personal label. We have left each hive with enough honey to see the bees through the winter and sold or given away most of the rest.
As winter peers around the corner, I have been contacting our ski suppliers and attending virtual tourism events to find out how life is in the Alps. All our ski resorts have been working really hard to make sure they are COVID-secure , safe and welcoming both for family holidays and group ski trips. It is so important to , as they are vital for the enrichment of children’s education and lives. I can’t wait to be able to start planning and organising our next ski season!
