Good morning, Muttonistas! It’s great to see craft beer gaining in popularity everywhere, and I must admit I was surprised to have found a good craft bar in one of my favourite cities in Spain, Cáceres, in Extremadura, somewhere that’s well off the radar of most foreign tourists.

had quite a range of beers and ales on offer and I’ll bring you a review or two more from here.

Beer in Spain is unfortunately dominated by macro brewing, but I always try to seek out independent brews.

And while lager isn’t my favourite style of beer, Rubia by , did hit the spot on a hot day. Crisp cold and refreshing yet with complex flavours incorporating slight floral notes without it overpowering the beer in any way.

In terms of strength, just about sessionable at 5.2% ABV. If you’re in Spain I’d say it’s definitely worth investigating the craft scene, and it just so happens that I’m on my way to Spain right now .

The pint of Guinness at the Triskel Tavern is consistent and i was served up yet another Creamer!

When It comes to Guinness in Madrid, (I’ve been to many but not all places serving Guinness in Madrid) the Triskel Tavern is easily the best pint, nowhere else so far for me has come close!

Good evening Muttonistas! In my neck of the woods in South Manchester, we are blessed with a great selection of restaurants from all over the world, and one place I keep coming back to is EK’s Thai Kitchen Eks_kitchen2023

With a good sized menu and an even better selection of dishes that can be ordered 24 hours in advance that are often hard to find in other Thai restaurants in Manchester, all tastes are catered for, including my constant hunt for more obscure dishes such as the raw prawn salad pictured here.

EK’s kitchen is halal and doesn’t serve pork or sell alcohol, but for me that’s great as they have a bring your own policy.

EK’s kitchen is small with less than 20 covers, so I’d recommend calling to reserve.

Good afternoon Muttonistas! I use London’s Euston station a fair amount, and the obvious port of call for refreshment is

There’s always a good range of beers to suit every palate, but when I see by on tap at the Euston Tap, then I look no further.

I have to say that the Euston Tap had been keeping its London Black so well, that I rated it a Creamerissimo Absolute Creamer! One of the best outside the Arch House, and I was delighted to have a session here without taking a train!

A lot of you ask me for London Recommendations . Euston is fairly central and the Euston tap is one of the best options within the circle line. Especially if they’re serving London Black!
