One of those 'hidden in plain sight' gems of the City, introducing St Alphage Gardens on London Wall ⛪

This church was built directly on London Wall, sometimes called St Alphege Cripplegate due to its location. The first mentions of the church are from the 1100s, but it's thought to originate even earlier 📆

These days, you can have a wander through the remains, take a seat nearby, and take in some greenery adjacent to the Barbican Highwalk. It's well worth a detour to nosy through if you're nearby! 👀

The summer heatwave may appear to have left us, but September is not about to disappoint 💪

There's so much in store this month, from free railway bridge projections to counting sheep on Southwark Bridge. Here are some of our highlights lined up:

🗡️ Get up close and personal with Roman London at the Mudlarkers exhibition in Guildhall Art Gallery and London's Roman Amphitheatre
🏠 Have a nosey around the spaces that are usually closed to the public with Open House Festival
🚨 Catch Catherine Yass' new installation taking over Blackfriars Railway Bridge
🐏 Watch the famous annual Sheep Drive over Southwark Bridge

This is your guide to the City's most *vibiest* of rooftops, and it's totally free!

The Garden at 120 is probably one of the most loved spots around the Square Mile, and rightly so! It's the space to grab a book and chill after work, or have an extra special lunch with a view.

Anyone can head along, with no pre-booking required. So what are you waiting for?

Did you know there's a used book fair hidden in a church in the City of London? Well, let us introduce St Giles Book Fair 📖

This event only takes place four times per year, and only for a short period of time, so you have to move quickly, but it's so worth it! 🤩

Not only is it a GORGEOUS location, but it's any person's dream.

Paperbacks are £3 each, hardbacks £4 each, and they've also got some vinyls and CDs 💿📀💿

In town until 1 September, run, don't walk to St Giles Cripplegate 🏃

It's giant volleyball! Taking over Guildhall Yard until 27 August, anyone can jump into a game of volleyball, or standard-sized pickleball thanks to London Sports Festival 🏐

How did it go? Close calls and painful wrists, but it was one of the best things we've ever done! 🤩
