One of those 'hidden in plain sight' gems of the City, introducing St Alphage Gardens on London Wall βͺ
This church was built directly on London Wall, sometimes called St Alphege Cripplegate due to its location. The first mentions of the church are from the 1100s, but it's thought to originate even earlier π
These days, you can have a wander through the remains, take a seat nearby, and take in some greenery adjacent to the Barbican Highwalk. It's well worth a detour to nosy through if you're nearby! π
