Using a combination of trains and ferries, you can travel across Europe, stop off in some brilliant cities along the way and arrive at your island by sea. Read below to see our recommended routes for eachโฆ
1) Sicily, Italy ๐ฎ๐น
London โ Paris โ Zurich โ Milan โ Naples/Sorrento/Amalfi Coast โ Villa San Giovanni โ Messina
This journey down through Italy includes the unique ferry/rail crossing to Messina, where the entire train is loaded onboard and carried across.
2) Mallorca, Spain

Travel by rail down into Spain, then take an overnight ferry from either Barcelona or Valencia. Extend your rail adventure once in Mallorca with the scenic rail line from Palma to Soller.
