Beautifully restored 1930s style carriages will take the exact same route - but with extra pizzazz. For starters, you'll settle into your seat with a glass of champagne and some canapes. 🥂

Then, when you reach Tirano, you hop off to visit a winery for a quick tour and a relaxed three course lunch with wine pairings.

Summer holiday planning season starts now 🌍🚆

With the clocks moving forward and British Summer Time beginning, it’s the perfect moment to start mapping out those warmer-weather journeys—and some of Europe’s seasonal trains are already lining up for the months ahead:

🇸🇪 The Inlandsbanan, running 15 June – 12 August runs through the heart of Sweden, linking forests, lakes and small northern towns.

🇷🇸🇲🇪 The Belgrade to Bar line, running June – September, connects Serbia’s capital with the Adriatic coast, crossing mountains and valleys along the way.

🇨🇭 The Gotthard Panorama Express, open from 18 April – 18 October, travels between Lucerne and Lugano, combining lake and rail through central Switzerland.

These summer-only services are a great way to see a different side of Europe at a slower pace.

Each have been chosen because they are easy to travel to by train, the routes feature spectacular Alpine views from the window, for their individual beauty and atmosphere, pretty lakeside towns and scenic mountain backdrops.
