Tracing its origins to the Napoleonic era, the estate is centred on a 19th-century château that blends Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance architecture with artfully reimagined interiors, where contemporary furnishings, unexpected bursts of colour, and modern comforts coexist. Set directly on the shores of Lake Geneva, Casa 26 in Thonon-les-Bains, France, is a striking lakeside retreat where bold architecture meets elemental simplicity.

Inspired by traditional boathouses, the house is expressed through a restrained palette of rust-coloured Corten steel, whose robust exterior lends a sense of sculptural clarity. Inside, waxed concrete floors and warm larch surfaces create a more tactile and enveloping atmosphere. At its centre, a cathedral-like living space brings height and openness to the communal areas, while five bedrooms are arranged to offer a quieter, more intimate sense of retreat.

Outside, a shaded terrace, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a lakeside jetty with a private pontoon reinforce the relationship between the house and its setting.
