Some fantastic tree carvings are hidden in Lesnes Abbey Wood by artist Tom Harvey.
Very close to Abbey Wood station you'll find the ruins of Lenses Abbey dating back to 1178, the abbey was founded by Richard De Luci the chef Justiciar of England under Henry ll. Not much of the building remains due to the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry Vlll but the wood is amazing to explore...
